THAT'S NICE. ". SHIFTING "'. GOOD JOB. """
good ole sumner co. TN truck
Full description of part numbers and build please!!
I wonder what model Fuller 10 speed he used? It probably weighs a lot more than a NV4500. I wonder if it saves any fuel since it probably has more frictional losses.
What's RPM at 70?
Look like a horseshoe 15 speed to me
Is this an aftermarket conversion?
That’s a true daily tow rig
I gotta ask though... why bother putting in such a heavy duty trans when the suspension and brakes could/would never handle a load that this trans was designed for? I own a 97 v-10 with the nv4500 and 4:10 gears and the things pulls like hell. This just seems so overkill to me
Longevity. Also, stock transmissions can only handle so much horsepower before you need to replace (or build) them to handle any serious engine upgrades. Built transmissions can be pretty darn expensive anyways, and if you get a deal on a HD trans like an Eaton...why not? I'm planning a 2nd Gen build to end all 2nd Gen builds for example, and I'll probably put an Eaton 10 spd in it. Built 12 Valve (for torque), and so on. Not trying to rival a semi or anything, but to improve upon factory stock every way. Not janky ass hodgepodge of random improvements either. I'm talking starting from the frame rails and getting the best that money can buy. To be honest, I expect the project to take a decade or longer even with a good amount of help from people better than I. I'm set on it though.
This new Lib-Tard generation won't ever appreciate something like this, there to busy identifying whatever the newest type of lazy ass Cock-sucker they came out with now or Bitchin about not knowin' what bathroom to use!!!😆
4x4?
Watching this again makes me miss my 01 6 speed dully.
What adapter plate did you use
Does your dad still own this truck? I’d like to buy it
Truck still running?
Someone’s gotta do this with a 3rd gen that has a turbo brake… would be badass
Question how hard was it to install the Eaton tranny in the dually
What engine does the truck have?
Can you do this in a 4x4 setup?
how did it end up having such short throws for each gear
Hello everyone, does anyone know who can make me a truck, I need one with that type of transmission.
Wowww
How did you do your clutch pedal set up is what I wanna know
How, uch was that swap?!? My 06 G56 with 4.10s hates 65mph+!!!!!
Esas si son trocás y muy buen conductor no me canso de ver ese video saludos de su amigo Beto Pérez de las Nieves Dgo échenle ganas
Is this still 4x4 even with the 10 speed?
That’s just freakin’ AWESOME!!
Nice video. Was sent here from c-10 with 453 Detroit
Just one axle short of a semi. Beats hittin the scales at every stop I guess.
After watching and hearing how hard that engine is working I'll be scrolling hoping to find what the payload was and what sort of speed that truck is capable of and what final drive your dad decided for the rear/front differential. That truck was SERIOUSLY working and obviously pulling off that trans swap is super super rad I'm not even going to front one bit. SUPER cool for a geek like me. K bye
Does it easy fit without big changes? I have a PSD and a 18 speed fuller with torque converter.
This is the first time I've seen an Eaton-Fuller transmission on something that isn't a semi.
Good looking rig !!
Dad got that seat pulled waaay up. Sweet vid. With those stacks n tranny I bet this is one pulling machine. I own a 99 2500 dodge cummins 4x4 but it's a slush box 325K
If you still have the truck I would like to buy it 20k cash in hand
Fuck ! Never seen a road ranger behind a ute !
It’s got a clutch brake right?
Isn’t that skipping gears?
Does it have a clutch brake?
East bound and down. A real gear jammer. Love it
That’s all well and good but unless your pulling a lot of weight long distance then it’s what I call.. more money then brains.
nice
Grind it till you find it
I also have a 99 with 186,00 and no oil leaks
Too cool. Rather have that then my 6 speed though.
Nice…
OMG ........ BS........ THAT'S NOT HOW YOU SHIFT A 10 SPEED..... YOU WENT FROM 3RD TO 5TH AND BACK TO 4TH WHILE BUILDING SPEED...... I DON'T THINK SOOOOO......... ALSO......... YOU HAVE AN AIR LINE FOR YOUR RANGE SELECTOR, BUT THERE IS NO AIR NOISE WHEN THE UPPER RANGE IS SELECTED.
It’s an overdrive 10 dude, calm down that’s their shift pattern 😅
Sweet 🏆! 10 & 13 speed Eaton-Fuller transmissions are virtually indestructible, million mile plus transmissions. Change the synthetic fluid every two years as recommended by Eaton warranties ( Mobil or Shell Synthetic Straight 50 gear oil) and this will be last transmission that you will ever need. The wet clutch and brake, as well as the rear helicoid gears on the synchronizer box do tear-up with dirty fluid.
Amazing!! What's your rear end ratio?
