An Extra from season 2's DVD on Niles and Daphne with a few funny clips. Enjoy
Rodney banks girlfriend adelke that left niles at the end!
Mel sounds like the best maris that the viewer got to see on tv! Both mel and maris were familar with plastic surgery and food allergies!
“She has no booty to shake” - Niles
Out of of all the people he could marry he chose a stick figure
“Hard to believe that’s the same frail woman who once sprained her wrist from having too much dip on a cracker…”
Love David Hyde Pierce. He is amazing. Comedy timing. Smile. Delivery. Attitude. He's gorgeous, and Yes- we all know he's gay. 😊
Frasier: Niles, what are you doing? Niles: I’m learning how to blow smoke. Frasier: Where?
This is how it's done. Can't go back.
1:48 to anyone from the UK, did this section make you spit take..? I was but a mouthful of pizza when i heard this remark. If it wasn't for my years watching UK comedy and learning slang that, well, I'd be an american in a -3 snowstorm...Absolutely mindless. Incase any americans are still dumbfounded, see below US: Fanny= ass UK:Fanny=spread wide v*****, beyond what Penthouse has ever shown. (the spread is debatable)
“Niles, what are you doing?” “I’m learning to blow smoke …” “Where?” *killed me!*
My favorite description of Maris is when Niles brings a greyhound home, Martin walks in and asks what it is and Frasier says, "Niles saw this in the pet store and had an inexplicable attraction. " Martin says, "You can see its ribs." Frasier says, "Hint number one."
Writers should have had a scene with Maris toward end of show.
And ruin such an iconic chatacter and running gag? Why the hell would they have done that? They'd been complete idiots.
Julia duffy on newhart played a maris like character
It was a good show.
This show was so good it could be mistaken for a classic British sitcom.
His sister looks remarkably like him.
Aww, I didn’t want the vid to end…lol, thank you!
Whenever I think of Maris, I see Mel. A supremely thin, neon white, tiny Mel.
Callista flockhart…….perfect marris.
Nowhere near tiny enough 😂
One of the most delightful storylines in a sitcom ever. Hyde Pierce is just fantastic in it
The first avenue is a good counter argument for Daphne’s idea. Clearly she is wrong
Im glad they decided not to show Maris. The descriptions from Niles are worth the skipping of her.
Without seeing her once or hearing her voice she was the strongest character on the show. And that, my friends, is called good writing. The likes of which hasn’t been seen since HBO plagiarized GRRM’s Game of Thrones
It would have been funny if they introduced her in the final episode and she was just this charming and completely normal woman, and the audience realizes that all of the other characters have been either just unfairly bullying her for the entire show, or else sharing an inside joke not shared earlier with the audience at large.
No that'd be a godawful idea lol.
Maris WAS shown on Cheers , I remember the episode ! She had black shoulder-length hair , very thin, and extremely under confident , but bossy at the same time ! She was talking to Fraiser in front of the door . DML
Don't forget Frasier's wife as well !, lol 😆
Niles has taste always thought that he does not go for the common types Americans and Hispanics he likes different , cannot get more different and unique in the US than a good British Lass , and I am one of them
I like the Big Bang Theory use this same technique of never seeing Howard Wolowitz’s mother (even though we still get to hear the loud Mrs. Wolowitz in the background).
3:52 John Mahoneys face
Oh when niles gets a dog and daphne says "can anyone else see?" "(Martin and fraiser) yes" "(D) does Dr crane" "(F&M) No". brilliant scene
hey it’s me 😂
My Favorite Maris Moment Niles: she's cornered Lydia Beaumont, head of the museum board.Maris has been angling to get on that board for years. Martin:It looks like Lydia's getting away. Niles: Oh, yes, the old freshen-the-drink ploy. Poor old Lydia has no idea with whom she's dealing. That's right, Maris, chug That sherry, on with the chase! There she goes, she's gaining, she's gaining, she's coming round the ice sculpture It’s Mrs. Beaumont and Maris, Mrs. Beaumont and Maris, and… Yes! They meet again!
My cousin married ''Maris'' and she used to spend holidays drifting between the bedroom and the kitchen claiming to have migraines. We wouldn't see her for entire days and then she'd pop out of the room to eat a single grape and then dissolve back into the shadows.
Daphne really was quite clueless . . . how many seasons did it take her to realize Niles had a thing for her?
I love the episode where the 4 go on a trip in the camper van and cross the border into Canada. The final scene shows Niles videoing Daphne while she's sleeping. The camera moves up to Frasier's face and he has that look, "Niles, what are you doing"?😂😂
Laughing at how Martin was also pursing and practicing his mouth in the background while Daphne teaches Niles how to ‘blow smoke’
Actually Maris never held hands, she had a slight webbing, made her self-conscious.
2:39 Niles: Is that Forbidden? Frasier: In every sense of the word. LMAO!!!!!
Maris was the embodiment of a mentality.. one that is very undesirable but all to present in society today. That is why we are all glad her end fate was abandoned on an island between the US and Canada.. as neither country wanted her in either except to put her in prison.
If Maris actually had appeared, I think Calista Flockhart could've pulled it off nicely, since quirky characters seem to be right up her alley (pun intended). ;-)
"is that...forbidden?" "in every sense of the word" 🤣 the amount of times fraiser walks in on niles doing something and has that brilliant look on his face. "NILES!"
OK who knows the great secret of where Maris' family fortune really came from?
Cakes. Urinal cakes. Not timber.
@@dsquared1950 YES!!! You absolutely positively 100% win.
Hold on...Maris was shown at the beginning. Teeny tiny lady, dark hair, curly, shoulder length hair.
John Mahoney as Martin Crane (June 20th,1940- February 4th,2018) Kelsey Grammer as Frasier Crane (February 21st,1955-) David Hyde Pierce as Niles Crane (April 3rd,1959-) Jane Leeves as Daphne Moon (April 18th,1961-) Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle (May 27th,1961-)
Martin on the phone with the police: Thin. VERY thin. Caucasian. VERY Caucasian.
Just one of those golden combinations of brilliant intuitive writing and stellar acting ❤️❤️👏👏👏 so good
I have always pictured Maris as Madeline Khan.
i love this show, but honestly, i don't like the sort of an unseen character joke. it got old real quickly.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
“I’m learning how to blow smoke.” “*Where*?” Kelsey’s delivery gets me every time.
