So can you please help me out again, man? On this pro Mac 10 I recently just got it. I was going to do a UA-cam video of it. Now I'm gonna be able to. It's not running right if you think it's the points of conductors. I'll get it fixed. Because I just got a filler's gauge today. Paid 5 bucks for it. So hoping that's what the problem is unless the seals are bad. But I just, I totally don't know about my colleagues. I don't know. This is this is AA common problem that they have. If you tell him I'm going to fix this problem has I've been noticing you tear down on a McCullough pro. Mac apart. Dixon If you want, I'll give you my number. Can you please just make a video step-by-step? What should I do defix this problem where you just think it's the carburetor
It's not blowing any smoke out, so the rings aint blued out. It just it acts normal, but when you push the throttle. You don't want to idle high. When he pushed the throttle, it wants to It wants to vog down. Until it cuts itself off completely. But if you don't touch the throttle, it was sitting there and idle kinda weirdly, but it makes a weird chattering noise
Alright, man. It's been a good while I used to talk to you. I just bought a colic pro Mac 1010 recently. There's something wrong with it. Every time I punch the throttle, it doesn't wanna idle. Give me a once diettle. It is autos, kinda weirdly. Will you tell me what's wrong with it? So that way, I can go fix it. It's got good spark. It's got good compression, and this is my first time experiencing mcculic pro. Mac 10 tens. I was going to go after a super 250. If you can remember and I couldn't find one. You got 2 of the same saws. And they're doing the same Zack. They're both known the same Zach problem. So I have no clue about these
👌👌👍👍
I vote 797 and let it eat.
797 would be interesting, i almost landed one a while back, didn't go my way
Stock, unless you want a kart saw.
Go hard or go home. Maybe not the cart engine but seriously, go full deep-you only live once.
I vote keep it stock, save that kart and 797 for something special. They will come along. That kart is a beauty about as nice as they come. That needs some thought. You can make somethin envious outa that...
I vote 797
Legend keep the video coming
@@user-mc5gd1zy8u Thankyou!

Great video , I have a 3400 counter vibe, one of my favorite saws to run , I use 40:1 m8x of Lucas oil and high octane ethanol free gasoline, I always make sure the chain is razor sharp, spins freely and that it's gets plenty of bar oil . The old poulans are great chainsaws.
Yeah those poulan 4000 are pretty neat i have one that runs good love that saw, i like the way it's built, solid. Have you ever heard of a double eagle 80 mac thinking of picking one up if there any good have fun
@@diggindiggenit6540 de80s are good saws, just like a 81 or 850, check to make sure it has really good compression, if it doesn’t or has none, do not buy, they have the same problem as the rest of the 82cc Mac’s where they are known to flake the chrome and cylinders are hard to come by and expensive when they do
I all most think you have spark Issue . Maybe it's all 4stroke but sounds like spark cut out
@@neilssaws1414 it does doesn’t it, I don’t believe it has a limited coil, but I’ll verify
Can't believe it took me 6 months to find this video. I try to watch all videos with the countervibe Poulan saws. I have 3400, 3700, 4200, and 5200. Working on getting a 4000. The 5200 is my favorite saw.
how did it turn out? run her for us!
Sounds like the carb needs a little tweaking. It's cool to see the old saws making a comeback. We ran Pioneer forever in the woods logging. We tried a couple Mac's through the years. They would be good home use saws.
@@Buddha-of8fk I think the 125 needs a rebuild, something is not happy, and I don’t want it to blow up so it’s done till I gather parts. I have much lighter saws both Mac and pioneers I use around the property mainly
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws Is it hard to find parts for the old saws? We had a shed half full of Pioneer saw parts but we scrapped it decades ago. After Pioneer started going down hill we went to Husqvarna. Really we used about everything. Our family started with axe, crosscut and horses and mules. Now it's totally different. More equipment and more overhead for sure. Sometimes l wish that stuff ran on oats like the horses and mules did.
@@Buddha-of8fk it can be hard to find parts, I have a few different sources for different brands and can get parts shipped to the house, and I buy parts saws to use to rebuild others
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws The P51 was my absolute favorite saw. Couldn't possibly count how many trees l fell with those saws. We log in PA and some NY. Saws take a beating. The P51 would take a beating and a half.
@@Buddha-of8fk pioneer really had a fantastic saw, the entire p series line were monsters, built like tanks, but not as heavy as other brands, and great power, yeah I know that northeast logging is pretty rough
I have a neighbors Homelite 410 and have not a clue on how to rebuild it. So far the fuel lines and chain oil lines have all disintegrated beyond repair. Not sure on how to get to the carburetor ports, proper routing to the fuel tank etc. The carburetor under the cover is surprisingly clean but rubber goods are very suspect. As you mentioned in your video not a lot of details on UA-cam about this specific saw. I’m curious of any highlights you may share with me for sourcing disassembly instructions, links you may have. Thanks for publishing your video on the 410.
@@edwardvan00 unfortunately there is very little info out these on rebuilding these, I had to basically just find out how it came apart firsthand. I’ll pull it back down to take some pictures for you this week. Thankyou for watching

The sound of a reed saw
It’s hard to beat, I only prefer husqvarna 2100s and Mac’s in the sound department
Cant wait to see in cut . Man
Thanks man, might get a chance to make a few cuts tomorrow
@@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws nice hope to see it
Very vintage , sounds very low rpm.
It’s not a screamer, just a grunty saw that can pull a long bar
Those p40's are cool saws i have one also but it must be older than yours as it is quite different on the outside, it would be interesting to find a p55 i think that's the one they put a vertical cylinder in b4 closing shop
I need 2 get my 655BP Poulan/Pioneer goin
That’s two bad son of a guns there, would love a 655
I to been busy but not workn my mom died the 15th of last month 😭😭😭😭 been sortn all that out an tryn 2 learn how this all works my kidsare lost wit out her an my dad is just on auto piolet they were together about 55yr.
I hate to hear that Justin, I’ll be keeping your family in our prayers, it’s tough man, nobody should go through loss
The case is not threaded where the cylinder bolts on. It's equipped with square nuts held in place with a dab of rvt.
Upgrade the reed to a boyesen 801 dual stage.
I’ll probably run a set, they’ve had some issues with them breaking the last few years
I love it❤❤
Thanks man! I really need bigger wood to let it really stretch its legs, I may have a 38 inch piece of pine coming my way soon, it’s only sporting a 28 right now, I have a 36 I can throw on it! Thankyou for commenting!

Sounds like a good honeymoon congrats on that, i agree the political side of Ca is bizarre, i think they make it that way so people will move and they move in? nice job on the saw looking good

I got 2 620s coils go bad and a 560

Congrats on wedding. Omg what are the plans on the solo 667 and the homelite 8800?
Thanks Fred! And very mild portwork on the 667, and just getting the 8800 running correctly
That sure is a neat process to watch, congrats on getting married soon. By any chance did you encounter extreme weather the 8th? I was watching live forecasts and many places were under some bad weather with some tornadoes.
We thankfully did not, ours was today and tonight and luckily no tornados, just strong winds and heavy rains. Thankyou for taking notice and asking! Most folks don’t care nowadays for areas other than their own. Glad to see there are still a few out there that do! Thankyou!
Compliments from me today ☺️

32:23 the older Solos are incredible. Remind me of a bike motor. The quality is next to none.
It truly is a work of art in the case and cylinder, flow and power were the absolute forfront of their engineering, so similar to a dirt bike, if it had a removable head I’d say it was one lol. Very excited about this one
See if you can save it and get a few good cuts with it. Wish you had more time to get it sorted before the Hustle.
What did you think about my cool chainsaws
They look good man , keep rocking on
Yeah, I lost my chainsaw sharpener, dude. I couldn't find it, so I have to go get a new one, so I can go sharpen my chain, but you see how it cut very, very good to the wood
