Try that on a fryer that is almost 10 years old you are cutting that actuator off because those set screws won’t come out
Your missing a reses washer in your seal kit
You didn’t show us out to remove the drain valve?
How are you man! I need help replacing a the Gearmotor on this unit, is there any possible way you can help me out on?!
Please post more Costco oven fix videos! Appreciate the effort you put in 💪🏻
How did that bottom unit contactor wire come off? 🤣🤣
Loose connection. When I receive these AR7e to install in stores I go through and tighten all connections, I can get two turns on those element lines most of the time.
Did the backsplash panel need to be removed fo this job?
Good day. Had to replace the hi limit electronic type S3 with an analog type I think #167 ¨ removed also #165...The #28 & #4 tied together through analog hi limit...I left off the tc as there was no place for it on the retrofit diagram...now it displays...Right oven probe what could be the issue? It's a XLT SIMPLE SMART H SERIES gas Stack oven
Dealing with an overheating oven can be quite frustrating, especially when you're in the middle of cooking something important. However, with the help of this amazing video the problem can be identified easily and fixed. We provide genuine Imperial control valve and other Imperial oven spare parts.
Fryer guy let me know we are hiring Fort Lauderdale area 85 plus per year Let me know.
Got an engineering question for you. I purchased an EOF-24 from an auction house. It all checks out fine but I don't have 480 3 phase. I plan on running this unit on 240 single phase. I know all about amp draw, wiring, element resistances, etc. I only need to run one vat at a time so I'll be able to make it work. The question is the basic functioning of the unit. Does the unit take one leg of the 480 3 phase and route it to the control transformer to generate 240V single phase to run all the electronics and the pump? Might this unit use a neutral and a leg to get 240V single phase which is sent to the transformer and turned into 120V to run the controls and pump? Do you have a schematic or can Giles provide one? Nothing worse than an engineer starting a donut business. :)
My rollout stinks like fryer oil. Like G Lway, I came from being a trained mechanic and this was the best career I have ever had. It's a cool balance between physical work and being mentally challenging. Once I understood millivolt systems and the basics of convection ovens, I was set. My background in electrical was a plus too
Looks greasy
Uea bit the tools loke. Hight quality metwrs, reclaim pumps, all the serious stuff is , bucks.
I am a tech with Hobart service I in fact worked on a 4500 today at a Sam’s club. Hardt is hard to get parts info from any easy way to look them up parts town is no help
How do you reset the cleaning mode on these ovens? I work at Sams Club and we can’t get any of the oven cleaner to pump out of the jug. A technician was here once before and showed me but I can’t remember what he did.
I have an xlt where the right oven will not stop heating once it hits its set temp. We've replaced both temp sensors without resolve. Any suggestions?
Watched this channel 3 months ago when I first started in the industry seemed like foreign language, after 60-70 hour weeks of being out there now i understand and makes sense coming back to rewatch these helps so much
You must be a Hobart Guy.
Been in the FES industry for over 7 years. I'm 28 years old now. Something that doesnt get discussed is potential start, average and experienced salaries, for those interested in the trade.
What is that start, average salaries?
@@fredster021 Salaries based on experience level. Green guys, helpers, parts runners, PM Techs, Techs level 1 to Senior Techs, Lead Techs or Service Managers, Etc.
Know the feeling, keep a set of pants and shirt on that truck/van. You going to need it. You even need to take a shower of a job. 🤣.
I’m 19 and about to get started in this in a few weeks looking forward to it but seems a little complicating since I’ve never done any work related to it before but I’m excited seems like once you learn it it can be a cool and relaxing job
Hey Fryer Guy, I like your style, touchy feely for troubleshooting is the way I roll also, but I still disconnect the power before performing any task that requires any removal of electrical components besides testing them. I've been a technician and contractor for all the fast-food chains for more years than I want to mention but still respect energized equipment. Again, you do a great informative, to the point video, I even picked up a few short cut pointers, thanks.
Point #5 is my favorite…. I’m a electrician and building maintenance…. I know the pain 😂😂
Are there any videos explaining how the heck I change the lightbulb in the oven!?
Left side of the oven, small hatch near the bottom right
@@Diabloshell Yeah I ended up contacting the maker of the oven and they sent me a PDF. But the light went out a month later again, so now we just don't bother LOL
Gotta love working in a Chili’s, I am relatively certain they are all the same amount of disgusting.
How do you remove the the oven doors so I can get it thru the door? thanks for your time. Sean
What company do you work for? I’ve worked for two commercial kitchen equipment companies so far

I have an issue not pumping oil what I can do thanks
@@dank9139 you're replying to old comments. And there is a number of other things it could be. It could be the filter pad being full of filter powder and or crumbs. The o rings on the pick up tube, could be o rings on the filter screen. Could be a bad pump seal. I wouldn't jump to a bad motor right away. Especially if you can hear the motor run.
Lol. Most of these points r true. Been working for Hobart for 6 yrs. Seen it all
How much you get paid if you don't mind me asking?
@@SeptimusPrime depending on his area and certifications he might make around $30/hr or even more possibly. I'm an intern for Hobart and I'm making $15/hr and the tech I ride with makes around $27/hr and he's been with us for almost 3 years

Motor capacitor # FA-33931 list price $35.00 Fan blower assy # 5002607 list price $1158.00 Would hate to replace the cap and end uo with a bad fan that fried the capacitor.
Good find. That blower is probably gone too. Good rule of thumb is if a capacitor is bad, the motor windings are falling too, the failed motor windings caused the failed cap. So the cap is the symptom the motor is the cause.
Welcome back man Miss all your videos
you should do some videos on frymasters.. thanks.. we mostly deal with henny penny... but we do have some that have frymasters.. thanks brother
thanks brother!! your a awsome teacher! keep it up
I have been a diesel mechanic working on heavy duty trucks for 9 plus year. Finally left to become a kitchen equipment tech and do i love it. No more heavy clutch or pulling motors. I enjoy being a kitchen equipment tech and I’m glad I made the right choice
What was the issue that you had to change.
Every job has its ups and downs. I wish I stayed in the food business so much easier and more fun that what I do now.
Keep the videos coming Bro!
As of today 1/1/2021 860 views and only 19 thumbs up????????????
What's the part number for the pump rebuild kit? The rollers and o-ring? I've got a pump motor that runs but has very poor flow. Vibrates like crazy and I'm pretty sure I can hear the seal tumbling around inside the pump. I can find the seal kit but not the rollers or pump head o-ring. Thanks for the help!
from what my lead tech told me.. its best to just buy a brand new pump.. the price difference isnt worth the hastle...
