Harley Sportster Exhaust Drill Out Baffle Mod
Переглядів 164 тис.11 років тому
After searching, this method wasn't shown so I want to pass it on. Worked perfectly, no mods to fuel required. Parts came to $18 at Canadian tire, $10 for the bits and $7 for the extension and tax. In the video I said it was 1/3 louder when its about 2 times louder but still 1/2 the volume of my Vance and Hines 2 into 1. A perfect comprimise. I recomend you try it first then if not loud enough,...

The summer ride along Lake Drive North 2012. I love this ride and so do my other family members who ride. I'm posting this to watch over the winter as it's a long and cold misery that holds us captive for 6 months until it warms up again and I can ride.
1981 Camaro Z28 Restoration Completed
Переглядів 15 тис.12 років тому
After years and countless dollars, the '81 Camaro Z28 is finished. A full frame on restoration resulted in a fresh interior, new floors and panel repair, all new suspension and bakes and a refreshed motor. Flowmaster mufflers running true dual exhausts give it a great sound this video can't reproduce.

Camaro Seat Reupolstery 1970 - 1981 new seat covers
Переглядів 13 тис.12 років тому
Just a quick review on replacing my seat covers on my '81 camaro. I repainted the bottom frame and sliders to clean them up, used a wire wheel on a grinder and sprayed them semi-gloss black. The broken wires I replaced using solid 16 gauge steel wire, worked well. For tools I used needle nose pliers, electrical side curtters, some screw drivers, a T-45 torx driver and hog ring pliers and hog ri...
Camaro Window Removal 1970 - 1981
Переглядів 66 тис.12 років тому
I uploaded this because I couldn't find a "how to" on removing the side windows. Basically, remove the door panel, outer weatherstrip, loosen the rails and undo the 4 bolts mentioned and the window comes out easily. This was easier than I thought.

Um...ok...just wasted 15 minutes watching you cut hog rings, waiting for the hard part of actually reinstalling the covers. Alas, 'twas not to be. Magically, the batting and the new covers were installed in 30 seconds. Sigh.

Not in this instance. Your drilling out the end. You may be able to install some sort of a plug where you drilled the hole if needed.

Hi Thanks for the video. Little feedback. Machinery Handbook specifically said not to use 3-1 oil for cutting, drilling and tapping operations. You should use a Sulphur based oil. That's why thread cutting oil smells like sulphur. They even recommend lard as an alternative if you don't have cutting oil. Thats also what makes some stainless steels machinable and others not so much; a higher sulphur content.

Weird thing is that I did exactly this today and did.a search to find out whether someone else also does it thus way. Only difference is that my pipes were off, as I had a really loud custom pipe made. I like this drilled restrictor better.

Not calibrated man, 2 and 3 need to drop down a bit, you can see it a lot when you get it to higher rpm. Or 1 and 4 need to go up depends on which one is the master throttle body. And the tolerance is 10 mm

On my 07 R1 the screw with the white dot was completely closed. Not sure why they would do that since its the one to reference off of. Any ideas??

    • @gaving4359
      @gaving4359 5 років тому

The white dot represents the lowest vacuum TB of the 4. The other 3 should be able to match it for a sync. Doesn't matter if its closed. I don't have the bike anymore and got rid of the service manual so I can't recall the factory setup. Maybe someone already adjusted it and closed it? Maybe it comes from the factory that way.

    • @vicenterr7

The closed one is not to be messed with. You adjust all the others based on the closed one

I don't have the car any more. Look for the bolt heads that are in the long slots. They are the adjustment points. Visualize the effect of moving them and it will come to you. Make small adjustments until it fits and take your time. There are adjustments for forward/back, up/down and tilt in/out.

Unfortunately you didn't show how to actually sync the carbs. In fact, you neglected to show how and where to connect the vacuum hoses from the vacuum gauge. Where are the synchronization screws located? The video could also have been improved by discussing the location and setting of the pilot air screw, located under the carbs. Obviously there is much more to carb sync on the R6 than your video would suggest.

What do you mean Pointless??? Its an excellent way for an average DIY'er to mod his bike to make it sound better. The only tool needed is a hand drill and 10 minutes of work. I didn't post audio clips as it's useless, I can't tell one clip from another when judging mufflers on UA-cam and posting DB levels is useless too as most don't know the difference between 85 and 90 db. It works, it's cheap, it's easy and worth it.
