One of my top 5 Disney films of all time. Such fantastic class, comedy, adventure, romance, music, and charm!!

Treasure Planet and Atlantis tend to be compared for a couple reasons: 1) Both are animated classic adventure films with steampunk vibes that (mostly) tried to break free of the Disney traditions of being musicals (with Treasure Planet having that one song in the middle). 2) Both underperformed at the box office due to competition at the time (sadly, these films came out at a time where CG films made by Pixar and Dreamworks were taking over the animated box office...although Treasure Planet dealt with harder times because Disney ACTIVELY tried to make it fail so they could switch over the CG films as well). It should also be noted that Treasure Planet was a passion project of the directors (John Musker and Ron Clements) who had been trying to do this movie with Disney for over a decade after they directed 1989's "The Little Mermaid" as they kept being given project ("Aladdin") after project ("Hercules") before they were finally allowed to do this.

This is my favorite movie. It gave me a horse obsession when I was young, and tbh, I still adore them. Something I do feel is a bit misleading, though, is that the movie refers to mustangs as "wild" horses, when they're technically feral, as they were descended from Colonial Spanish horses, which were the original mustangs, but they managed to survive out in the wild in some places. Przewalski's horses are the only true wild horse left. Przewalski's horses once ranged throughout Asia and Europe, but due to competition with livestock and humans ruining their natural habitat, they became extinct in the wild in the 1960's. They were brought back by captive breeding programs, but due to so few individuals, inbreeding and hybridization with domestic horses still threatens them. Unfortunately, Przewalski's horses are still endangered. They're really awesome, and I hope that we can save them for good.

I'm surprised Widow's house isn't completely destroyed, especially with how small of a space it is. Most fox species, including red foxes (what Tod is) will tear everything up and burrow into your sofa. They scent mark by urinating and defecating on everything, and if the fox can steal and bury something, it will. They also smell like skunk, and no amount of bathing can eliminate their musk. Foxes are absolutely adorable and can be so sweet, but they generally make terrible pets. They are truly the most mischievous, stinky little wild gremlins.

Our kids loved it. And Jungle Book and the almost impossible to find now "The Song of the South". They liked old musicals as well. 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and Inspector General were the most requested for some reason.

I grew up with both Goofy movies and I can say that they both are nostalgic for me

caitlyn's mom doesn't deserve that hate! 😔from jayce's perspective it feels completely different, but from her perspective she had ALL the right to be pissed and to drop him. she was his sponsor, funding his research, and he was secretly using her funds to illegally experiment with magic (highly taboo and rightfully(!) feared in their society), and due to it he almost got her daughter blown up. she was even willing to defend him at first, only turning when she realized he was using magic. so yes she's two faced to support him now that hextech is wildly successful, but her initial treatment of him makes sense from her point of view.

This is fantasy of course but let me put it this way-- the real King John was so hated by the English, eight hundred years later they've *never* had a John II.

For some reason, alliteration makes villains sound better;"silly/stupid serpent,reluctant reptile,fat friar,cowardly cobra,procrastinating python,something asp". Snake dressed eele!

This was totally my movie when I saw it in 2000 when I was 7 years old. It introduced me to the concept of college, and I saw it long before I saw the first movie. I do like this one more, but there were two things the first one had that were better. 1) It had a more theatrical budget for the animation and generally a better look. 2) It had Roxanne who was an absolutely wonderful love interest for Max, and it's almost criminal that she wasn't even referenced in the second movie. Also, take the Rotten Tomatoes score with a grain of salt. There are only 8 reviews on it since this movie only released direct to video and hardly had much objective coverage.

"Critics! I will find you! And I will end you!" Um... not likely, because most of them are already dead. These were reviews at the time of the movie's initial release in 1973. Rotten Tomatoes doesn't feature any contemporary written reviews.

I think Disney learned their lesson with B.E.N. being loud and obnoxious by the time they made Frozen, because they made sure that Olaf whispered most of his lines rather than shout them. And don't get me wrong, as a long-time die-hard fan of Treasure Planet, I have no problem with B.E.N., I think he's hilarious, but I totally get why most people hate him.

I thought strange world was a pretty good movie here. I felt like it was pretty much just thrown together and it was pretty much a hush, hush secret. Cuz nobody really knew that this was coming out or even had been out.

Theres so many funny moments but I would say my favorite moment is actually when they are in the river Max-"Dad! I'm not a little kid anymore! I got my own life now!" Goofy-"I know that!! I just wanted to be part of it!" Its so good that "A Goofy Movie" has such heart to it when you expect nothing but slapstick. Randomly found your channel. And I enjoy your vibe. Favorite scene is when they do the compilation of the good time Max and Goofy have. And of course the entire part they are sitting in the office.

You're close with that snake hypnotizing thing. Back in the day they thought that's how snakes hunted. By staring at their prey and putting them into a trance. But nowadays we know it's an attack pose and the prey were just struck with fear. That's the whole thing with snake charmers who play the flute. But funny enough there seems to be an animal out there that does put it's pray into a trance with circular patterns. The Scuttlefish.
