Beautiful.
This is the first time I heard the words ..I know this by Earl Klug n love this song❤
I’m pretty sure this is how an angel sounds when they sing.
Every time I hear this song I remember the friends who lost their lives in Vietnam. Never forget them!
I listen to this version often and like you it evokes similar memories. I lost a lot of friends in Nam, earned my own purple heart there as well. The pain never goes away. The simple harmonies of this song is both soothing and haunting. I'm now 76 years old, its doesn't get easier. Thank you for your post. Today is the first time I have looked at any of the posts.
Beautiful harmonies and the musicians are always outstanding.👍👍
Sad. I'm in Calhoun, GA tonight. I sat outside the Raceway Store with Charlie Daniel's a few weeks ago as blue as I could be. He wasn't. He would reposition my cigarette pack on the table every time I would. I've got less worries with a guitar in my hand, but that old fellow was all smiles and no fiddle.
I’m a musician with brain cancer. I have videos of me on my UA-cam channel. This song was playing when my daddy left me. It still hits me hard and ofcourse you sing it beautifully! God bless
Charlie Rich did a remarkable job on this and Allison Krauss' is perhaps prettier though I kind of wish she had used the Rich version's tempo
I hadn't heard her version but really love Leon Russell's version. Here is a video I just watched. It's under Leon's Country name. ua-cam.com/video/ZuZPUqPU1kY/v-deo.htmlsi=ie16L2Y3OqdPMXQK
Saw her at Wheatland many years ago, She had major impact that weekend.
Wow. she's got it all workin' right there.....
Who picked the teaser screen? They're obviously too lazy. Alison's voice is a national treasure. Angelic artist.
When you know, you know😊.
the Angel has her wings hidden!
Some gotta win, some gotta lose....
Great arrangement!!
Her voice is so beautiful
Such a voice. Is she an angel? Seriously....
Love this and when Waylon did it ❤
Good Lord! I am speechless at how beautiful this is!!!
She needs to stop with the injections to her face
What has she done to her face ? 😢
ya lot better than the kings 👑 version lol
If Good Time Charlie heard Alison Krauss' version of this song, he wouldn't have the blues anymore
I love Alison but no one can do this song justice but the original rendition.
She can sing the phonebook and sound great. But Okeefe is my favorite version.
If not for her voice, I wouldn't recognize her. Respectfully hmm
I have always loved Allison, her voice is so beautiful. I love this old song.
Love this song..Allison brings it home...Bravo..
She is a true artist! That voice.
I recentlly discoverd this song as recorded by Brenda Lee in 1963. I think its just a wonderful tune. Beautiful words and music. Credit the writers who I will have to look up. Alison sings it well.
Is there anything that Alison Krauss _can't_ sing, and beautifully?
Sing it girl!!!! You did the man proud 👊💥
Voice of an angel, as beautiful as one too
I believe that is what the angels sound like…..
I'm very touched......❤ Thanks for the sensitive interpretation.....❤ Warm greetings from a Melanesian living in Holland.
A. VOICE. TOUCHED. BY. THE. HEAVENLY. FARTHER. SO. ANNOINTED
You all look boring no smiles
It's a sad song, friend.
How about smiling hunny
Blessings from Oz. 👍❤️🇦🇺
Who are harmony singers? Love this arrangement--the piano and guitar working together, and the bass really providing the rhythm. Thanks for not using drums; so not needed. Go Alison--ageless talent.
That is Suzanne and Sidney Cox of the original Cox family. Suzanne’s voice is as perfect as Alisons. Look up Cox Family Blue Bayou or I Am Weary Let Me Rest. They have collaborated with Alison for many years and are all great friends.
Of course! It was driving nuts. I was like, "I know this face; why can't I remember the name?" Thank you so much!@@sandraice2190 ♥
One of the best songs ever written Waylon did it best in my opinion
3. Mins. And 57 seconds of heaven. Too bad it has a end.
Loved it.
I love Elvis’ version of this song…Alison’s is also stunning.
Omg! How have I missed this? Sidney and Suzanne Cox singing harmony. Wow.
Alison, if ever you come to Grand Forks, ND I'll be there too for you. I want to meet you and your autograph.
Her voice!
Honest! ❤
WTF happened to her face? Oh, yeah. Fillers, neurotoxins, and a facelift. Yuk.
