I have been searching the internet to get ideas on how to share my story after being diagnosed at the age of 20 all the way to 36 years old and finally having a Proctectomy and permanent stoma. So many people are struggling with this disease and After living with Crohn's and taking all the above mentioned drugs. I can honestly tell you that out of all the vlogs I have seen, Yours has completely inspired me to share my story even more! Watching this video just reminds me of all the questions I had unanswered for so many years. Crohn's is a horrible disease as you are fully aware but rest assured that there are ways to live with it to the best of your ability! Thank you for this helpful video on your Crohn’s symptoms. Yes, fatigue sucks. You gave a good explanation as to why it happens. The body working constantly on over-drive. Makes sense. I think fatigue also has to do with nutrient deficiencies, like B-12, iron, CoEnzyme Q-10, and ATP. What did your GI doctor say fatigue was from? I’d be interested to know. Thank you.

Can you share more about the pain? Was it like a contraction, squeezing and burning. At one point, it felt like my intestines were going to explode. I don't have the diagnosis yet, but it was suspected with a C-Reactive Protien of 74.5 and a CT that showed extensive inflammation of the Ilium small intestines, wall thickening and fluid that went into my pelvis. I also have Ankylosing Spondylitis. Colonoscopy on the 1st, and we'll see from there.

I was diagnosed later in life- at 50. But I believe the disease started in me around 48 years old. My worst symptoms are the arthritis and joint pain. Truly difficult to deal with. 😢

i was single in my late 20s till i was 43 then met a wonderfull women moved in together a year later that was 15years ago ,got everything we need not what we want.,we never have had a arguement ever allot of folks have too high list they look for in a partner ,you look and look stop ,that right person will turn up, cause you give off energy folks pick up off

What if you might have a life-limiting illness - I feel afraid to get in relationships as knowingly knowing I might have a short life span the other person would not find me worth it

Currently got the double camera one deep inside me........on step 2.........don't know how I managed swallowing it......the prep was bad enough...didn't realise more laxatives are needed until it passes........I'm counting the minutes........Thanks Becki for posting this........you mum cracked me up when she said she could do with something to eat and a coffee !

Incredible to hear of how you did this Becki thanks I do have to avoid casein in dairy because I’m allergic. Unfortunately same with eggs. I think my allergies are connected to my gut issue’s as leaky gut can cause it. My legs ache unfortunately I’m 37.5 kgs hips ache but I’m going to try the cbd thanks for suggesting it helped.

Hi Becky, since you have come off steroids what medication are you taking at the moment? My 19yr old son has recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s, he’s currently half way through his steroids course and they are working well. His consultant has said about him starting infliximab but he’s not sure if he wants to go down the infusion route yet?

Most peoples own fault, my C.d. ended when stopped eating sugar and all the other carbohydrates + artificial oils that never were intended for humans to eat, most people trust docs blindly + food pyramid which caused millions to die of obesity and following illnesses diabetes, heartdis. +++.

Can you please do more videos around your Crohn’s. I suffer with Crohn’s and there’s no content creator I can relate to which most of the time upsets me as everyone’s just living their lives whilst I’m in pain etc

Also do take coconut water and goats milk -antinflamatory , avoid fatty food , carbonated drinks , alcohol , spicy food and eat on time. Try Homeopathy medication will help a lot.

Why the heck did they not do the PillCam that first time after you had prepped? That had to be horrible indeed!

I inject my belly and I pinch it. I am worried the pillcam will get stuck

I get my study done at 8am, it’s currently 12am now and all I can do is think about food. It doesn’t help that I just went to Costco and restocked my fridge and pantry this weekend. This feels impossible. I workout 5days a week and I’m not used to this at all!!! I typically have 3 meals a day and 3-4 snacks and a protein shake. I feel dizzy and lethargic. I’m also type one diabetic, I had to completely turn off my insulin because my blood sugars were going low from not eating anything. I can’t wait to get this over with! 😭

Getting mine done on Friday - what should I do after I swallow? Will it hurt? Does poop out easily? Will it get stuck?

Hi Becki, Thanks for your video! Very interesting! Just wanted to thank you for your comment a while ago. Like you said things have got better and I'm starting to get healthier and stronger again. It's been a gruelling couple of years but videos like yours were a light in the dark. Some hope to hang on to and I thank you dearly for that. I'm on medication now, back to work and exploring my goals. I agree with what you said, espcially about meeting yourself where you are at but also having a sight on the person you would like to be. I thought your point with the internal dialogue was very apt but sometimes it's hard to tell which voice is the right one and also I think when you're tired having the willpower doesn't mean much if you're tired enough. You probably will always lose that battle. I think the true solution to this is to not let yourself get too tired and if you do, set it up so that you have a plan in place already. Lets say you are genuinely too tired to cook some days of the week (maybe you realise you've got an extremely busy day in the coming week), you can do meal prep or have a list of healthy take-aways prepared so you don't have to search through hundreds of takeaways on your very suggestable tired-brain.. Anyway thanks again, really great video and food for thought!

I had a pill cam last Wednesday and I never saw the pill in my stool . I took a laxative yesterday hoping to see something but no luck . My Dr. said most likely I will not see the pill cam in the toilet . I’m an anxious person so I’m freaking out . I read some blogs that people have the pill cam stuck for weeks w/o any symptoms ( nausea, abdominal pain) were you able to spot your pill cam after a bowel movement? Thanks !

I'm in the US and have Crohns as well. So in the uk you guess don't get put to sleep completely. I'd be so nervous and I've had many colonoscopies

Is the capsule or a colonoscopy for crohnes worse? I just had a colonoscopy Thursday and I got a weird side effect from the oxygen constant sneezing and runny nose.

Be careful, time ticks by fast. Options diminish. It’s like changing the channel constantly because you believe there’s something better on. That’s what online dating has done to men and women. It’s important to have children and over time (while fertility declines fairly slowly until 35) the health of the child can be at risk. I hope you find a great person. Keep up a good attitude.

What about someone who cannot physically consumate a marriage? In other words lack of function. Can't marry because you can't feel anything and you can't respond. I was told once to "use my fingers" to satisfy my partner, but I think that is a dumb suggestion. I simply accept what is and what's not going to happen!

I've been dealing with it for 20 years now.... I wouldn't wish crohn's on my worst enemy.
