have you checked that the tailwheel lock is on? You need to lift the tail to get better rudder control. Open the throttle slowly and by the time you get to 60 KPh , lift the tail. Right rudder held in, right aileron to counteract the left wing drop.
The tailwheel is one thing I do need to keep in mind and probably something I forget. Thank you for the reminder.
about half right rudder, a bit of left aileron. Increase power slowly. If you have a tailwheel lock, make sure it's ON before you apply power. Feed in the power and add or remove rudder as required to keep straight. Raise the tail at about 60 KMhr and fly off at about 120 KMPh. Set first stage of flap for take off. After take off, gear up immediately.
Will give it a try but finding the sweet spot is difficult but am working on it. Far as I know I would have to manual move the rudder and stick to achieve a balance to take off.
Yes. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. The faster you get, ease off the rudder.
I wonder if it would be easier landing in a slip with the upwind wheel first to avoid getting blown off the other side of the runway and the weather vaning into the wind.
Might try that but I find landing in general with the Bf109 to be difficult because you have to use the breaking system of the wheel to move left and right once you get on the ground. The rudder doesn't do to much at low speed. And she's tip happy.

The whole video I’m watching you try to use the K-14 gunsight on him, adjusting the diamonds to surround the plane, trying to pull the correct lead, getting him right in the middle, shooting and not hitting him. Meanwhile I’m screaming at my screen that you forgot the enter the wing span (34ft) into the gunsight, and left it at the default 27ft. It’s a minor error, but still enough to keep you from hitting him. We were all there once… :)
