FACIAL ANIMATION FROM AUDIO IN A FEW CLICKS | Metahuman Audio to Face Unreal Engine 5.5 Tutorial
Recently a preview of the new version of the Unreal Engine 5.5 became available, and I got into it in search of new features. Today I want to show you a new function in the engine - creating lip-syncs from audio. It;s an analogue of JALI and Audio2Face from Nvidia but it's available for free to all users inside Unreal Engine 5.5!

Thanks for the tips! I found I can't get it working with ray traced shadows enabled, is this a limitation or am I missing something? I have hardware ray tracing enabled and I'm using a 4090 GPU.
Did you try doing an AI voice as well? There are some pretty convincing ones out there.

Has livelink vcam turned into unreal vcam in the ios store? I dont see it anywhere.
Yes, it’s Unreal VCam now
Importing it to Daz3D, Blender, and Character Creator 4 they look good and resembles the actual person. However when they imported to UE5 & Metahuman, it looses the resemblance by like 30%. Why is it like that? How do you fix it? I'm asking because I'm slowly getting into it, but don't wanna waste my time going further with UE5 & Metahuman because it will just loose all the quality of my model. So help save me some time here if you can.
You need to use textures from your face scan (I show this step in the video) and you should try the new way with custom MH head - conformed mesh (you can find tutorials on UA-cam)

The suit sizes were definitely not made for Americans! 😆 I could only fit the XXL suit and it was a hassle getting on. Took me 5-10 mins just for the bodyglove.

Thank you so much! Cool video! 🤩 I tried to connect my iPhone VCam app to Unreal Engine yesterday. The phone sees the computer, but it won't connect, it says Failed to connect. Spent 4 hours looking for solutions, found nothing. Tried a lot of things. Did you have an easy time connecting? Do you know what the problem might be? I don't have a firewall blocking the connection.

Does this work with pathtracer in 5.4? I'm trying to do the r.pathtracing.heterogeneousvolumes 1 console command to enable the vdb to work with pathtracing but it's not working.
Shadows from VDB in path tracing works fine in UE 5.3 and 5.4 (you need to apply r.pathtracing.heterogeneousvolumes 1 and r.HeterogeneousVolumes.MaxTraceDistance 1000000 for view from long distance) but you need to check your albedo scale and density scale
I don't have Engine folder which has its "SparseVolumeMaterial" in the video.

Unfortunately they have just doubled the price for exporting .fbx files. From 250 to 500$ per month. They are making this suit even more inaccessible.
I need to find someone like you that does this stuff on Mac. I can't connect my iPhone or iPad to Unreal on my Mac for the life of me. The only way that works so far is the non ip address route, and you can use it as a basic controller, not a virtual camera. So the movements aren't matched to the camera. I haven't found anyone that has managed to do this successfully yet. My fear is, as ridiculous as it sounds given the app is literally on iPhone and iPad, that it doesn't work to connect it via mac yet.
It's ridiculous that Mac doesn't support live link camera, sorry that I can't help you with that, I hope you find a solution 🙏

i dont see the same options you have in your project settings / rendering tab / heterogeneous Volumes - i only have that option under 'experimental' and there is not check box for Cast shadows' like in your example - ideas?

What do you mean? I tested lumen reflections + hardware raytracing and the result are great

Sorry, no - I didn't work with LED panels to show something more about VP and you can find professional photography courses to learn how to shoot - I just show how you can use your DoP skills in Unreal Engine :)
