All Prolube Oil Products are made with our very own, Metalgaurd technology, that provides a micro-layer of lubricant film that protects and increases lubrication between metal to metal parts. As a result, reducing friction, heat , wear & tear, blow-by, oil breakdown, and sludge & varnish. All Prolube Oil products can be used universally in cars, trucks, tractors, semis, marine, and machinery. T...
I just don't think this proves much
Oil additives screw up the chemicals in oil which very highly educated chemists have formulated to give the oil absolutely everything the oil needs. Not some, but ALL oil additives are not beneficial. The companies market them to make you believe they are helpful and I would too if I made the kind of profit they make on that snake oil. It's just modern day snake oil. All of them.
Prolube commercial
That proves nothing, certain additives will help a dry engine but may do long term damage in a full engine over time. Plus I don’t trust you guys
project farm tested lucas and it lasted 20 min same motor, 7 yrs ago yours only lasted 3min
There's probably chlorinated paraffin in it. Nothing beats it, except that when in contact with inevitable moisture in the engine, it turns acidic and etches into the bearings over time. Motorkote passes tests like these, and it definitely has chlorinated paraffin. If something is too good to be true, it usually is.
I like this stuff
Why is the prolube engine a different engine than the others? Seems like you used the better version of engine for the prolube. First clue tags and drain plugs are color coded. The prolube being orange the other three being yellow. Then the valve cover is bigger on the prolube engine, and the final clue is the prolube engine has a different muffler. So in actuality the controll engine did better than all. The reason you were shocked was you didn't think the control engine was going be that close to the better model that you used the prolube in. or should I say PROSCAM
they. certainly wont try again polytron 😅
This is a no-go for me.
I just spent a hell of a lot of money on my Dodge charger RT . 5.7 hemi replacing cam shaft and lifters at 125,000 miles and I have used amsoil signature synthetic 5w20 oil since new. Filter included. I have used amsoil signature synthetic in all my cars since the early 1980s and never have had to replace, rebuild or get into the engine using amsoil signature synthetic oil but #3 cylinder rocker roller was all scratched to hell and cam was replaced with new roller lifters would like to try this oil additive to see if it will help make the engine last longer. Chrysler Dodge jeep sales are down 48 percent and stelantis CEO quit. And I expect Dodge jeep Chrysler to eventually go out of business they have sold a lot of lemons to customers. But is pro lube really good or just another snake oil or does it really help reduce engine wear. I know trebo tex has been around for a long time it comes and goes. What weight is your oil additive and is it petroleum or synthetic based.
Test with amsoil before during and after 5w20 and 5w30
Mobil1 motor was a non-hemi and the others were hemi motors. Your “experiment” was flawed from the start.
Did you leave a drop of oil in that second motor?
It's a different model and better model than the other three
The winner juest happens to have a big flag on the garage door... 🤔 This watery marvel left better protection than the thick sticky lucas???
Duralube motor oil treatment would smash prolube
4.3?
Bullshit on Prolube.......😮
Why didn’t you test air cool oil?
Lake speed jr (the motor oil geek) and in the engine oil and lubrication tech on fb has all showed proven data that oil addictives are garbage, cause more wear, and mess up the chemistry of the oil.
like Project Farm would say Very impressive!
Until he saw they used a different engine for the prolube
ProLube will be my choice next time I run without oil. Remember end result were the same for all engines.
For the non believers Mobil 1 it’s no bs no matter the application you use it!!!
BULLSHIT 🚽💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨 YOU GOOBERS ARE FUNNY 🥴
That Chevelle is beautiful, my dream car.
The arch oil oil treatment is not a lubricant, it has zinc and other things to coat the engine and help protect it. Whereas Pro Lube is a lubricant
It's not zinc.....it's a potassium borate (boron) based additive package suspended in an Ester base.....please keep your ignorant posts to yourself. Thank you, and have a nice day.
Run all again with the oil and test wear.
Why because you altered the viscosity
And used a different engine than the rest
The control did really good, not buying it
This would have meant way more if the channel name wasnt the same as one of the products used 😆
Militec 1 still better than this
Bestline lasted 71 minutes without oil this prolube ant shit
Locus has high viscosity, it could increase viscosity and friction. Marvel has solvents such as kerosene in it, it could dilute oil.
Who does this in the real world? There was no load on the engines.
I had to read the comments just to see if anyone pointed out that the control motor wasn't identical. Kinda strange but not as strange as Lucas blowing up first, but to be fair I've never read that Lucas claims there product will keep ya from blowing your shit up when ya run it out of oil. Lucas is THE ONLY oil additive on the market in my opinion if you would happen to need one in the first place
I saw the same thing. At a minimum it will have less oil drain out just by looking at the size difference in the valve cover.
Never break-in a new motor on synthetic oil. You started this test wrong from the start. The test engines were not under a load. This really didn't prove anything. Nice try.
Different engine for the prolube
how is 10% of 16oz 2oz and not 1.6 oz
3 of those engines are hemi 212 and one is non hemi 212. So the control will be different results from the other 3.
LOL .. nice try fellas, Lucas is the better product and y'all know it is
You have 3 hemi motor and one no hemi , I don't know if that will affect your test results.
Why not compare it to motorkote and engine shield
This is an advertisement on how not to use oil additives. They're not formulated to be used with new engines. They're formulated to be used with older engines, usually with 75,000+ miles. The length of time each engine gave up at. That's luck of the draw on the engine itself. The additives have almost no bearing on this, as lubricity and viscosity are not part of the additive package. That's base oil only. If you want to learn more about this kind of thing. I suggest going over to the Motor Oil Geek's youtube channel.
You guys need to repeat 3rd grade math. All additives are a waste of money. Watch the Oil Geek.
Prolube is a lie..trash snake oil
Where are your independent tests from a certified lab? Snake oil at the highest level.
The First problem is both you guys are wearing PROLUBE Hats and shirts with a big PROLUBE BANNER behind you! Fake test!!!!!
Different engine too
Surprised mobile came second 😂
If it's in a metal can it's real chems.
Project Farm needs to approve. We all agree.
See this is the first problem, those are new engines you do not put synthetic oil in any new engine to break them in. you have to use conventional oil so the ring can mate to the block , but we will see how things go. I would still like to know what's in Prolube because mixing it with the additives in each motor oil changes things ? just a question Im not being a ass sorry if it seems that way. the pro lube I bought said 1oz per quart of oil you just put two oz in 1 quart ? I finished the Video Good job Prolube, did you guys make Pro lube oil cans oiler ? because ive had one for years now? it says in big bold letters Pro Lube on the oiler.
You shouldn't use any oil additives period. Just engine oil only. I bet you would have got close to the same results using just regular oil in all the engines simply due to tolerances in the engines. Any oil additive is snake oil and it's not regulated.
Motorkote lasted over 1 hour with @projectfarm. Prolong is better than Prolube and all other competitors.
