This was not the one I ordered, described as mint the one that turn up was nothing like that. As I lived in Australia he probably thought he could get away this. And he did, but I never bought another thing from him

You use the term ‘Pioneers’ but you don’t specify what you mean by it. Is it safe to assume you mean soldiers involved in the construction of fortifications, digging trenches, maintaining roads, bridges and railways etc?

Don't listen to this man. He engages in practices that actively worsen the hobby for his own gain, including splitting groupings, overpricing items, and selling fakes.

Great video. As still quite a young collector I find these very helpful.

Officers helmets can also have flat chin scales.

Lesson no 7 - fake double decal SS helmet being punted on the video and Regimentals web site. Pulls it from sale, pulls it from UA-cam with no explanation.

Regimentals was a great shop when in Essex Road under the direction of Malcolm and Sid. I feel Daniel is more suited to star wars models where his true passion sits!

Is there a chance to send you photo of a soldier?

This is just my opinion. If a punter was to email a dealer and tell them that one of their items they are selling is not real /fake/ fantasy then take notice of them and do some research and delete that item rather than ignore them altogether and keep the fake item on sale. Regimentals are good at that..

Hi when iam selling at my local flea market should I group items or sell individually ie. a couple of tank badges also what do you think should be a good profit margin? Or just try for the going rate? 30% 50% ect. Thanks John k

I do feel the way the prices are going up in Milateria is getting a bit ridiculous now to be honest, I’m a fairly new collector and have been collecting for about 3 years and in that time I have noticed the price difference , I’m not sure how far this hobby will last as in the end the prices have gone so high that it’s starting to put the average collector from buying things , and how will the next generation below start with the price hikes , especially on helmets and caps and dealers will price themselfs out of the market

Whilst your point about the unmarked blade on ss chained is valid. As Tom Wittman has shown and pointed out on numerous occasions, officers would upgrade their original dagger, buying a chained scabbard. So a marked blade on a chained ss is not necessarily a fake.

nice to know but question i got if anyone can help where can i find out where the militaria shows are in the uk i mostly buy iron crosses or related to the iron cross family,a frind of mind who not with us sadly used to sell and buy miliatria and told me about regimentals,and he told me to just stick collecting as you get to know about it just by looks and the feel

you just need to sell fakes or overprice for items like regimentals...

I know you've gotten tomatoes thrown your way on prices, and honesty....Prices aren't any higher really than any other dealer. If certainly prices have exceeded what the items are truly worth, it'd be unjust to solely scorn regimentals...same prices that i can see.

Also at 15 kilometers from Manhay, one of the best museum about the Battle of the Bulge is the "Bulge Relics Museum" in Joubiéval (Vielsalm) with thousands of original objects from that region (uniforms, firearms, vehicles, daily life), in a three level historical building, filmed by US Signal Corps.

Looks like a good, modern museum with cool diorama displays, which brings the uniforms and equipment to life. Are all these original, or some mixture of original and repro? Not sure about the music choice!
