    Hi, we are going to Killarney this coming August! Any advice you would give me if we trek at night? I wonder how there are hikers too at night? It is probably the perfect spot to star gaze .

I am looking forward to watching your other videos. Planning to head over to NW Ontario this summer again and will be checking out your recommendations. Thank you.

    Hi, I am heading to Iceland in a week and looking to get a tattoo while I am over there, but we are booked for the blue lagoon on our last day before flying home - how did you find your new tattoo while in the lagoon? Thanks :)

    • @theoutdoorlatina
      @theoutdoorlatina Рік тому

      The tattoo I got was on my wrist. So I didn't submerge it a ton after. My friend wanted one on her ankle but the artist refused to do it bc of risk of infection. Most of my experience at Blue Lagoon was amazing and doable if you are getting something in an area you can do your best to avoid submersion. My tatto is fully healed and looking great

    Your video has been inspirational to me. I used to hike Frontenac years ago and my favourite was the Tetsmine loop with a camp at Lynch lake(#12). Unfortunately, I had an accident on that hike about 5 years ago (I slipped and hit my head on a rock...almost broke my neck!). I hadn't hiked or backwoods camped since but just last month I thought I was ready to go again. I tried the Testmine loop to Lynch lake once more but my body said 'nope...not yet!' (I suffered a heat attack 2 years ago and am still recovering) I miss the hiking and backwoods camping so much I really hope I will one day be able to do it again. Your determination of hiking in the rain has given me new hope that yes, I can do it. Frontenac is such a beautiful place to hike and camp (even in the rain!), I love it there.

    • @theoutdoorlatina
      @theoutdoorlatina Рік тому

      What an amazing story! I do hope you continue to recover and I feel so humbled to have inspired you. Try other loops. I loved that Frontenac has so many options of which way to go. 😊😊

    Hello again Khristel. Congratulations on your hike. I'm so impressed. Indeed, I think you did the right thing to head back to your car. I have hiked the La Cloche Silhouette Trail, in Killarney Provincial Park a number of times. This year I had 8 days of sunshine, but last year I hiked in 2 days of rain. Rain sure makes things challenging.

    Does this tent have vents on the fly?

    • @theoutdoorlatina
      @theoutdoorlatina 2 роки тому

      No. So "vents" are actually just a line that you can pull and attach with a peg. so it pulls it on the sides enough for some air. but no actual zipper or anything on the fly beyond the front and back zippers by the doors

      I actually really enjoyed their service. We had an issue not sure if you saw our other videos but our 4x4 broke. And we were able to take it to a mechanic and they didn't charge us. Was fairly easy. I think we went with the basic or next level policy with no issues.

      Not gonna lie is tight. We opted to choose the upper bed as the storage. It also gets quite warm up there compared to the bottom bunk. I would recommend to use it to sleep only in the summer if you are 4 people. Not much room above your head. I am plus size and could sleep there but I didn't choose to. Also no steps to get up there haha I kinda fell coming down cuz I'm a klutz

    • @theoutdoorlatina

      At the time it was weight and price that made me choose this tent honestly. I wasn't ready to invest on a $700 ultralight tent and when I was reading reviews it looked pretty decent. For me Marmot is a good quality company and I figured I give it a try. Hasn't disappointed me yet.
