What do you prefer Ath awas vs denon d9200 vs sony z1r vs lcd x?

I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra and use a THX Onyx dongle to power a Focal Utopia and He1000 Stealth. Do you think it would be a worthwhile upgrade to get the DC Elite? I'm afraid I wont hear much of an improvement.

This might be a stupid question to ask but how BIG of a difference is the Shanling UA4 from the 10 dollar apple dongle (buying with an IEM Truthear Hexa) Ive heard people say that DACs dont really make that big of a difference from the Apple Dongle so they arent worth it, So Id like your views on this!

I use simgot ew200 which is very bright. I need thicker midrange & more base impact to it. So should I go for Allergo? How about output level of Allergo (1Vrm ?). I mostly use phone and laptop.

Hey everyone. I have a fee great iems and an iBasso DX320 DAC which is no slouch either. Can anyone explain to me like a 5 year old, why my iems sound so much better running through the fiio and into the iBasso Dac than if I were to just plug directly into the iBasso. It a pretty noticeable improvement. Why does this happen. So now I'm dongle shopping and I find an even better one made by ifi for around $400. Is my sound just going to get better and better if I run a killer dongle into the ibasso first. Does this always happen? Iems using currently. Unique Melody Indigo ($2000) and the Moondrop Aria 2's - which sound almost better than the Indigos and I got a pair used for $60. Now I want to sell the indigos even thkugh they do perform a little better.. but it's like adding this dongle changed everything. HAS anybody else had this happen to them? A really inexpensive sounding pair of iems almost outperforming god tier iems while using the dongle going into the iBasso Dac or better I'm really confused. Anyone in the market for the Melody Mest Indigos for a really good deal? 😅

you should be aware that SAMSUNG A35 5G is INCOMPATIBLE with this device. Shanling ua4 works fine with 2 Samsung tablets I have and a Huawei phone but not with the SAMSUNG A35. The message I get is something related to "HIGH POWER USB DEVICE CONNECTED impossible to connect..."

I really want this one. It is highly biased into class A. So it runs really hot! I have the S9c. Love that one too. I like the previous post below on managing the thermals. I plan to listen many hours non stop, so it is a concern.

Hello, I'm considering a dac upgrade for my Hidisz AP80 pro dap with an external dongle. I will only drive iems like the EPZ 530. EPZ had a warmish and thick BA bass with upfront transparant mids/vocals and sparkly, detailed treble. With i miss is a more tight bass and more texture in bass and mid section and also better dynamics. Which dongle will provide me this for about 100 USD? Some power efficient dongle will be appreciated.
