This is why I am both confused and angry about the WNBA. Both CC and other stars can succeed to raise the WNBA without all the hate being spewed. WNBA has already gained success with the chartered flights, why not take it further by raising the pay and team player limits to 15 players like the NBA. Just take a look at Bird and Magic, Michael Jordan and the rest of NBA such as Detroit, Houston, etc. Hakeem, Yao Ming, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, and the lists go on. Even people debating about the GOAT : Michael Jordan vs LeBron vs. Kobe has never risen any hate among the players. Even with the stupid dealings with the Refs and her own coaches, CC will adapt and continue to grow. Just allow CC's inner circle to continue to support CC. CC should just focus on getting her ROTY and own personal gain with her stats and fulfilling her fans. Don't worry about the Fever. There is no Sides in TEAM.

I saw her coach talking about the importance and impact of CC setting good careens. So, hopefully she’s on the same page.Great job!

What annoys me is guiys who say yeah, she's good - for a woman - but if I went 1-on-1 with her I'd win. How insecure do you have to be to keep pointing out the obvious fact that men are bigger and stronger than women? Horses are bigger and stronger than men - so? Or one guy saying that what make bb exciting is slam-dunks, so they should lower the basket for women. What makes bb exciting is that it's fast-paced, intricate and competitive. Clark's outstanding attribute is that she can think fast on her feet, has great situational awareness, and by the way, has exceptional athletic skills. And stamina: I don't think I've ever seen get tired or slow down. She sometimes has trouble finding her range & so misses a lot in the 1st quarter: it would be interesting to see her stats broken down by quarter. I'd bet that she's best in the 4th. Angel Reese gave her a hard time, but she faded, while Clark improved as she figured Reese out: intelligence, adaptability, stamina. The absolutely essential thing for success in any field is to be your own worst critic, aware of your weaknesses and constantly trying to improve. I don't know what that Purdue player said to her that got her mad enough to push her, but while she's hypercompetitive, she is also a great team player. a leader who keeps the team's morale up. Dunno how the Fever is going to handle her, given that they already have an outstanding point guard in Boston. I'll be interested to see. BTW, I've never been a bb fan until now. It seemed to me that the problem with the game was that there is too much scoring, so any one play doesn't stand out so much; also that games come down to the last 5 minutes: by then, it's either close and exciting or a blowout. But as I watch and learn, a appreciate more. It may be the same with people who think the WNBA is boring. It's a vicious circle: attendance is poor, so you don't have the crowd's energy, so it's boring, so attendance is poor. I'll be interested to see if Clark can turn that around.

Watkins is ver6 good. But she needs to dramatically improve her shooting accuracy and her assists.

Have you considered the effect of playing at UConn? Geno has a fairly strict system and wants players to play team ball. Of course he will not get on her for occasionally veering off script, but she can't just free wheel like Caitlin for instance. Good comparison to her is Diana Taurasi. She never averaged more than 17 points per game with UConn, but is the WNBA all time leading scorer and her game really opened up at the next level.

Nice thorough analysis of her game. If she can make up for that lack of individual one-on-one skill, then it's probably her versatility. She can shoot from anywhere under almost any circumstances. She's also an amazing passer. Her team play is her natural game, but she always leads her team to a higher level.

I am not a big Basketball fan but I saw clips against LSU. I was impresseed with all the ladies. But Caitlin Clark was amazing and she is fun to watch. I love watching any player who excells at what they do. I can't wait to watch her play again.
