Seadoo no acceleration but NOT a jet pump issue? MYSTERY SOLVED READ DESCRIPTION
Mystery solved. I was told the 2014 (this one) was the ski presenting cavitation issues but it turned out to the be the 2013 ski sitting on the port side that had the bad jet pump.

This is just one possibility of many as to why your Yamaha will not crank. By crank what is meant is the starter turning, this is a “no crank” scenario. When you say “no start” that means the starter does crank when you hit the start button but the engine doesn’t run. There is also a main fuse and relay in that fuse panel which is pointed out in this video.

Add 1/4 turn block drain to Mercruiser, Volvo penta, or Omc stern drives to boat later in the colder months without freezing your block

If you have an ls mt125 and possibly other models you will almost certainly experience a failure in your hydraulic valve control linkage for the front loader so here is the fix. Good luck.
Volvo penta 5.7 GS intermittent fuel issue (diodes failure)

Carbureted 5.7 L Volvo penta GS PWTR. Was getting intermittent fuel related issues, but after replacing the entire fuel system; carb, pump, pick up, filter, anti syphon valve it was apparent further exploration was needed. The fuel pump would get power then it wouldn’t, turned out it needed new diodes, and I replaced the relay housings and some burnt wires in the process. Good luck,

I know what it is. It’s an LS. I have one. Biggest POS ever made. You’ve probably fixed it by now. Let me guess, corroded terminal connect block somewhere? That’s what mine was, then this then that, and back to it’s an LS.
@@verticle2612 ya I wouldn’t buy another that’s for sure. The engine and trans are good, those are both solid…electrical is pure gabagé though as many have discovered. When I bought this one I could have got the equivalent Massey for $1k more but I was able to talk the LS dealer into giving me a 9” auger with it so I went with the LS. All of my failures have been safety switches and the hydraulic linkage knuckles, those break regularly. Past that it’s been fine.

So what are you rebuilding.Engine or supercharger ?
Neither, this ski isn’t worth repairing. In order to fix it not only would both the engine and supercharger have to be rebuilt, it would also require many of the peripheral components (the intercooler for example) to be repaired or replaced. It’s called a “catastrophic failure” for a reason.

Oil in the drool tubes should not affect performance in any way since it is not entering the cylinder
@@savageattacks614 incorrect. It will definitely affect performance, but it won’t present the symptoms I was told this ski has. So if what you mean is it won’t cause cavitation issues then yes, of course. But if you think you can drown the outside of a spark plug in oil without any issues you are sorely mistaken. Mystery solved however, I was told the 2014 ski on the trailer is the one having the issue (which is this one) but it was actually the 2013 sitting next to it.

Mercruiser uses the oil pump cut off. Volvo Penta does not. Start circuit powers fuel pump until engine running. When release starter switch, and engine running, ......Alternator powers same Relay socket, and powers the fuel pump at that point, when all is working correctly.

Great video.. I'm a mercruiser mechanic and just worked on a Volvo fuel pump problem up on Lake Winnepausake in NH. These Volvo Penta fuel pump set ups are quite different than the Mercruisers ( and GM vehicles ).

Best of luck. As I explained in the video I’ve found cracks in the actual gimbal housing itself more than once and that’s not in salt water conditions. If you’re in salt I’m sure it’s even more likely. Years ago I also found a hole in the U pipe that connects the exhaust system to the gimbal housing on the inside. Had to pull the motor to get to it, was a real bitch to figure out. Filling the boat with water from the inside is the best way to rule things out. In that instance it would take on water while running on the muffs which was a huge clue.
Checked everything and still nothing. Got a bump starter switch and it won’t do anything. Any ideas
When you try cranking with the key are you getting 12v + at the starter? If yes then your starter is bad. If no then a bump starter should at the very least crank the starter, if not it’s safe to say you don’t have the bump starter hooked up right.

Had the same issue, I've gone through a few fuses. Has anyone figured out the cause? Seems like there is a short somewhere.
These LS tractors seem to have weak electrical systems, specifically the safety switches. Mine is now a 2019 with almost 300 hours and I’ve replace it bypassed almost every safety switch and have also popped several fuses. I haven’t figured out any rhyme or specific reason, although I have had less problems now that I make sure it’s never parked out in the weather and have replaced all of the safety switches at least once.
Question is, why did the fuse blow? Or just a cheap fuse?

PS The kind of problem demonstrated in this video is most commonly caused by any of a number of bad safety switches.
This happened to me a couple months ago. Just when I needed to clear a 15 inch snowfall with my 3 point snowblower, my MT125 wouldn't turn over. After clearing all the snow with a walk-behind snowblower, I fiddled with the tractor until I got it to start so I could drive it to my heated garage to troubleshoot it. I found my neutral safety switch on the hydro pedals had failed. I ordered a new one on-line for $16.00 plus tax and shipping. I bypassed the switch so I could use the tractor until the new one arrived. Once the new switch arrived, I plugged it in and I'm good again. Even though my tractor is still under warranty, there are no LS dealers within 5 hours of me, so it was quicker, easier, and cheaper to just order the part.

Glad it helped. 11 hours is pretty ridiculous to be having any issues. These LS tractors obviously have some piss poor electrical systems.
Have you finally found the issue? If so, what was it? Mine exhibits similar problems when the key is on but it WONT start at all when I bump start it. It just turns over. Any help greatly appreciated

Well now you know. These LS tractors seem to have a lot of electrical problems so unfortunately this is unlikely to be the only time you’ll need to use the bump start.

MY TACTOR WONT START OUT OF NO WHERE I TURN AND IT SAYS 0RPM WONT EVEN CLICK THOUGH. ANY IDEA
Not sure what the 0 rpm rpm means. I am currently starting mine with a bump starter, maybe I’ll make a video.
@@The_Brew_Dog ok sweet I just turn the key hear a click and where the gas meter is it raises the gas meter but says 0 rpm and shows my hours

@@codegaming_yt7704 sent you the video on the solenoid in this thread, it didn’t work for me but maybe it will you. There are ways to test it but I was overly confident that’s what was wrong but I was wrong instead. Mine is actually the clutch safety switch, maybe I’ll make a video on how to test for it. Either way, if you watch the one I sent you it will show you how to use a bump starter, that will at least get you running I’d bet.
@@The_Brew_Dog thanks I checked the battery I checked all the fuses and still clicked over but it wouldn't start I did notice that one of my pedals before I turned it off when the break was going higher than the gas and it was running fine and then all of a sudden when I turned it off it wouldn't start back up and like I said the gas pedal is down a little bit further then the break which is sticking out more which I haven't noticed before

I have a red heeler and as far as I know they are exactly the same. We don't know if he is a mix or not because he's much calmer than a purebred and is really thin, slender dog. He is the best dog we have ever owned. You need a FIRM HAND ON THIS BREED as they are VERY stubborn but quick to learn. At 5 months mine already knows "eft hand", shake, down, roll over, put em' up (where he begs) highfive and waits for the words to have his dinner. I encourage you to adopt a dog from the humane society.

Cut up hot dogs and train with them. They love food motivation. But , yes they can be a hand full if you don't start very early🐾💙🐾 Good Luck
