How would you make it mimic gear changes?

Even with he stock pedestrian speaker, I've had multiple pedestrians not hear me in car parks etc. Something a bit louder certainly a useful thing (although Tesla could do this with a software update)

Nice vid! I thought about getting something like this for my Tacoma. Just for the Lulz as I pull in with friends around. lol. But $1200 for a kit, or even $700 for the OBD2 module alone is a bit steep for a meme. Also, as a Canadian. I thought the UK roads were amazing! Clean and well kept. Tho a bit too narrow with no ditches. But again, I do compare to Canada, where I drive a truck partially because I have to! lol.

I have always wanted this. The Hyundai Ioniq 5N noises are well executed but sound like they’re from an 80s driving game. This seems like they have plenty of choice. I want to hear what it sounds like under load and accelerating with gear changes. That would sell me on an expensive system like this.

Thanks for review. Def not for me and hopefully no one in my local area. Everytime a boy racer goes by, I dream of a quieter EV future. I can imagine how interal audio for power and regen feedback would be helpful for hypermiling, especially for us limited by the range of our vans.

I managed to get my hands on the demo one in my country at my local dealer for £33k (brand new was £43k) due to us buying our last 5 cars from them 🫣 it’s the the same as the one you tested (JCW, level 3), but in chilli red with black stripes and I love it! Sold my old Mini SE ‘21 and had to add bit over £17k to get it, which was the greatest deal of my life if I’m being honest, for this car, especially with the highest level specs. I’m a bit biased as I’ve only ever had Minis, but we also have a BMW iX at home and honestly, I prefer my Mini 100% more. I love the noises, love that it’s small, especially for driving in the city. It’s a huge upgrade both in range, looks and specs from my old SE.

Im not sure if anyone has posted this, but as a tesla S4 tech that rear knuckle bush is not serviceable or sold separately. I very much doubt anywhere replaces them.

Hello, thanks for the video, I am from Turkiye and we have only Tesla Model Y here and its power is restricted to 160 kW due to taxes to be lower. Rear wheel drive Model Y comes with 4D3-B which has 160 kW and 420 nm and as I know these motors are actually 220 kW but limited to 160 kW as software, I have done a research about unlocking the power limit but I couldn't find anything except Teslogic but they are not working on Model Y SR. Does this company do a research about these limited Teslas?

After 20+ years of BMW constant proactive maintenance and repairs, I wanted a zero maintenance powertrain. The Tesla Model 3 provided exactly that. When you think of what you get from the Bev, insane performance, no noise, no vibrations, no smells, and zero maintenance, the only downside to go back to all the hassles of ice is “range”. I just don’t find range compelling enough to go back into a hybrid and have all that complexity again. The supercharger network has been wonderful, already have 140,000mi on the Model 3 and travel frequently between 4 states. I think hybrids are the short gap answer for range adverse buyers now, but will be avoided on the used market in the future due to all that complexity, upkeep, and repair.

In Australia, it is possible to drive around the country in an EV, but requires a bit of planning etc. Diesel utes (pickups) are everywhere here, as people use then to row caravans, boats etc. BYD from China has recently introduced the Shark 6 phev pickup. It has a smal turbo petrol motor that charges the 30 kWh battery . It has front and rear electric motors, no drive shafts gear box etc. EV only range up to 100 kms great for around town, but can get to remote places where you don’t get EV charging. It is cheaper than the best selling diesel pickups, and it will do 0-60 mph under 6 seconds. Bring it on if it gets the diesels off the road.

If it's so efficient you get 4.5 miles/kwh, why not chuck the engine and fuel tank and put in a bigger battery with faster charging with the saved weight.
