I just figure out on my own that tightening those screws in the middle of the high back will decrease the heel play. So I came to search for videos to see if it made sense. Glad I’ve found this video. I’m new to step ons

I have a question is it normal that the brake pedal is so hard to press?
Yes but you can make it softer by taking the rubber piece out that is fitted under the spring. Although i don't recommend it because its put there to give off a realistic feel. I actually installed a mod that makes the brake pedal even harder to press.

I was at the flagship store in Tokyo today. Was ready to buy and wow, the heel lift was immense! What’s even more shocking was that the burton sales rep told me that this was normal! I will stick to my slx and cartel setup for now

You’re more of an intermediate really based on your turns. You must be carving and knee steering by now. Great set up!

Also u know ur using an intermediate/advance board right. Burton sells beginner boards that helps get the basics, I had the ripcord n progressed nicely into the Kilroy 3d. Don't sell that board, keep it, learn with a beginner n progress that way. But it's all based what u wanna do.
The toe plate is in US size, remember that. So I am UK 9.5 and put the toe plate on 10.5. Just got my step ons on the forward lean helps a lot.

Algo took me here. I see two problems: 1. Your Custom board seems narrow for your bindings/boot. What's the size of your boot and board? 2. Your bindings seemed hanging more on the heel side of the board. That is probably why you are having difficulties on your toe edge Solution: try pull your baseplate in and center your binding, or try a "wider" board
