The ending left more questions than answers, the creators must have wanted to leave it at a cliffhanger to intrigue people. Something I was awaiting since the start of the game was for them to get guns and fight something (zombies/aliens/clones/the man), I thought the story was going to get wild but they got our ass with that lol. Overall it was a fun time and I liked the idea of the game, it has potential for more so I hope the creators lock in if they do make a part 2.

I also think Francis was the right choice to kill but it is one of the most difficult ones as which evil do you chose to live of the both lesser ones. I picked Francis because as you describe Francis was the one that put up the idea first while Derrick seemed like for of begging Niko for self defence. Then he threaten Niko to do it and I don't like threats. Francis also acts as if he is all good person when he is as crooked as his brothers if not more. Though Derrick has betrayed his friends in the past and snitched on them just to escape jail. But there is hints in the story of like 90% chance that Derrick is the one who ratted his own brother Gerry out and sent to prison. If I knew full on Derrick was the one to rat Gerry out, I would have killed Derrick.
