@tasmanianmapping yeah I'm pretty sure!, don got the building around 30 years ago. And if u do visit it again u can actually go on the footplate of ccs23 and all the other steam locos in the yard! I also plan on volunteering later in the year

The reason why Cradle Mtn, Tasmania uses a shuttle bus instead of cars is due to a largenpartmmof the route through to the terminus being in the Cradle Mtn-Lake St Clair national park, a world heritage area fulfilling 7 of the 10 requirements for a world heritage area. This has lead to there being a limit on environmental impact and cars in the park at a time, so hus. After the revitalisation of Dove Lake, only 7 parking slots for regular cars were kept, to further reduce the need for the car.
