her decisions to destroy her own works are of course her right but i think they were not sane decisions unless the works were clearly bad works. Ive almost always regreted destroying my paintings.

Great piece..I was lucky enough to have been part of the Great Yarmouth scene in the late 80's early 90's and am a close friend of most of the movers and shakers of the scene including Richie,Alex Banks,Jay Hurren,Richard Routledge,Richard Hammerton,Simon Mark et al..I was one of the organisers of the illegal rave mentioned by Simon Mark and my brother and I also hosted underground(literally) events in the basement of his flat on Broad Row in the town..I was slightly older than most of the other protagonists and unlike most of the others I came from an earlier Punk/Post Punk background in the early to mid 80's rather that the Soul Scene..I attended most of the events mentioned in the town including KAOS,Dance Paradise,The Prodigy(twice)at Tiffany's and Simon's events at The Brunswick. The importance and popularity of Tiffany's cannot be overestimated and to see the place absolutely PACKED to the rafters with 3,000 ravers was a magnificent thing and signaled the last great renaissance of Great Yarmouth as a party destination...For me personally the scene only really lasted for two or three years and effectively ended when Cocaine entered the scene replacing E as the drug of choice and the music got too hard but the eventual release of Storm From The East in 1996 was validation of a scene which was organic, progressive and most of all LOTS of fun for anyone who was lucky to experience it first hand..

Tiffany's was amazing when it was rammed! Living in Yarmouth and then Belton it brought great pride to me as a teenager seeing so many famous DJ's come to the area.
