The battery rubber band actually makes sense coming from FMS. They're big in the rc aircraft market and rubber bands are common for batteries and even wing attachment because of the low weight. Not saying it's wonderful, just saying it makes sense coming from FMS.

This is not a unibody. That's a full frame chassis. Unibody means the subframes attach to the body and the body is a part of the structural rigidity.

Excellent vid, thanks so much. The fcx24 is on my shopping list too. I'll be checking those portal boxes when I get it. For making the shims can I suggest using a hole punch on some suitable material then retrieving the punched out circles for use as shims? Just an idea? 👍
