2008 GMHG Commercial
This is a commercial we had done in 2008. It was narrated by WRAL anchorman Bill Leslie out of Raleigh. The quality is not great, but we still liked some of this footage. I hope you enjoy.

This is part 1 of 6 of a special the BBC did on the GMHG back in 2003. This segment features the co-founder of the Games, Donald MacDonald, explaining the roots of the GMHG. The video quality is not great but the information is still great. Also, this appears to be one of the foggiest Games that we have ever had. Still some great footage.

Liberated people have to be very cool. Otherwise, in a society which doesn't believe in equality and cannot possibly practice it, they would be considered extremely subversive - Alan Watts
Powerfully sung and played
One of my favorite Scottish singers, the national anthem of Scotland
Just sing the fuckin' thing for Christ sake.
You came here for his singing and he did? are you daft lad?
Lovely!
A great song and a fine performance - I decided to watched the Scottish Paliament opening on the strength of his statement that the whole of parliament stood up and joined in the last verse. Disappointingly they all remained seated.
They did join in though!
An eternal song representing beautifully an eternal struggle
Great song - not the best rendition but not a better song.
Daily we sink deeper into oligarchy and despotism here in the USA. I guess the struggle for justice never ends.
Equality and liberty are great virtues. Ironically people look to the government for answers that best come from themselves and their own communities. All that states can do is appoint someone whose role by its very existence diminishes what equality stands for and, through a convoluted system of laws and taxes, takes away more direct means of solving problems and leaves people financially disadvantaged, thus creating a vicious cycle. The corruption that is created is systemic when accountability is disjointed from power. Once there's enough power over people, then people can't peacefully dissent from authoritarianism. For all the noble sentiment, democracy is a tool for the corrupt to create the illusion of choice and manufacture consent where it does not exist. It's a long dark road of crushing liberty and prosperity when people can be convinced to vote against their own interests and treat their neighbors as opposition.
Written by Jack Foley....called "A Bottle of the Best".
A genuine singing of this wonderful song and Ed Miller lets us know how important this song is for humankind.

That was a beautiful song.
Beautiful version by Ed, but he never sings a bad version of anything.
This was excellent! Can you tell me where can I find the sheet music to this song? I hope to include this masterful arrangement in my band's repertoire.
I have been blessed to see Ed (along with Rich, along with Brian) two times, and am very grateful for those evenings. Wherever a great song can be found, Ed will take it and make it even better. God bless you Ed.
Hey, I'm in that video, around 1:20 - 1:40 or so, playing my bodhran while strolling around.
