When my Cruise control light started flashing, I figured out that it would only happen when I had the cruise control on and when I tapped the brakes. It was intermittent at first, but began to be more consistent. I then checked with the Google mechanics. They all said to check for a blown fuse OR the Stop lamp switch may be faulty. Well, the fuses were fine. Thus, I decided to finance the price of the stop lamp switch from my local Toyota dealer. :) As you can see... Easy replacement; no tools needed. BTW; I have a 2005 Tacoma AT with approximately 145.000 miles.
