Hi I’m Brad Gormley, I am a heavy duty diesel tech, my day job consist of working on different pieces of equipment such as forklifts, terminal trucks, aerial work platforms, and a wide variety of other pieces of equipment, on the side I work on light duty diesel such as ford, dodge, and gmc. I started out when I was very young and I worked in a local diesel shop all thru high school, after high school I continued doing diesel work on top of my day time job of a heavy duty diesel tech, I hope I can share my specialty experience with ford, dodge and gmc with you, and save you money with my tips and advice, thanks.

Hi, in this video i go over the P0483 code and P2509. If you have a no start condition and these 2 codes are present, it is most likely your fan clutch causing the issue. P0483 by itself is usually a sign your fan clutch is starting to fail or has failed. Is it normal for a 3-5 second cold start on 6.0?
I have an 06 that will start mostly fine when cold. I had replaced the fuel pump because it was cranking long and had to stomp the gas to get it to start cold or hot, and it will come to life when cold and will run good until I cut it off. If I try to start it hot it will just crank and then say “TBC fault” also the new fuel pump makes a louder bubbling noise not sure if it’s important but it was not OEM
Wht if i have a manual transmission.... On fifth gear wont pass 60 changed air amd fuel filter on the engine side.
Extremely helpful. Got an 05 crank no start intermittent but I think it's when it's warm. It had an IPR code but he replaced the IPR and of course it still wouldn't start. So I think I'm going to go straight to that stand pipe and pull it out and check that o ring. Watched another video that showed how to get the pipe out without removing the rail.

It's a Powerstroke, model year 2001.
18 mm or 13/16 did not fit to take lines off, any advice. Also, inside the steering coupling that attached to the steering gear box is stripped. Should I replace it? Thanks for your help, you rock.
Did 03 have the same issue mine crank no start hot and cold it got worst and worst but sometimes would start like butter i thought hpop or icp sensor ?
Mines struggles to pass 50 mph goes away when i empty the fuel filter diesel but it only does it sometimes any tips? Thanks
Hey another question what size fitting did u use to adapt to the fuel bowl? I bought a kit from harbor freight but it didn’t come with right size fitting lol. Thx

How’d you mount ur fuel pressure gauge without pinching it in the hood?
Just close it until the safety latch clicks don’t close it all the way
Should have installed the 6 bolt box.
Is there a way to identify between what version of stand pipes one has on their engine? What changes were made to them?
The original ones are the 10mm Allen to remove the 12mm Allen is the updated

We have a long crank to start cold and no start when hot. It cranks a long time before the dash shows oil pressure but once it shows it starts up. Just got done replacing all injector, fuel rail nipple o-rings, and pipes/plugs. Oil filter gets oil. Oil pump plug came out no issues. It slid out with no magnet, and no metal was found. Pulled the ipr and screen looked good, no metal found. With scanner, activated ipr and tested good.
Make sure you have the right oil filter in there

Hi I have a 2005 Dodge Cummins at idle the fan speed is 450 drop to 387 fan rpms then I see desired commands it to 99% and the actual goes to 1100 and then goes back down to 800 390 fan rpms when driving at 1800 engine rpms. is that normal? Also when going up a grade it gets 210F to 211F engine coolant temperature. But I never hear the fan roaring
I have my truck that bends the steering rod I changed some parts but I don't understand why the steering rod bends on two occasions

Injector Orings
My 2014 Ram 3500 diesel has an issue where the steering is inconsistant on curves. Feels like the pressure on the steering is intermittent. All the tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, track bar bushings, stabilizer links, and steering dampner have been checked and the loose parts replaced and the problem remains. Wondering if a steering box is the answer to remedy this or the pump, my knowledge ends at this point and I have never encountered this before, I can find forums with people having the same problem and no solutions. Any help would be great.
Swapping the steering box out fixed the problem.
I’m having the same exact issue rn! My truck all the sudden feels like it lacks power under load driving at higher speeds but no load and in park it revs up fine

What about P2609? With a 0483 as well
My truck does this but will start if we have a truck with cables on both batteries. And sometimes starting fluid it will start as well. Will this still apply to my truck? 2007 6.0 powerstroke 180k miles.

How much would a repair like this cost?
Usually shops do a flat rate diagnosis for the first hour and then straight time after that, and typically it’s 4-6 hours labour, once you have done a few you can do it faster but you gotta make it worth your time, 700-1000$ depending on shop rates and parts
