From the cruiseterminal there is a free shuttle bus to Largo della Pace. There you will find a tourist information which had maps over Civitavecchia with great information what to see. Everything is very walkable by foot from Largo della Pace. Have a great cruise!

If two people are both platinum and stay in the same cabin, they only get vouchers for two dinner meals and for the two people, so not for each person. I never cruised solo but I think it is the same that you will recieve vouchers for two dinner meals and for two people and can bring someone else.

Yes it was really pretty and the nice sunny weather made it amazing.

The shuttle bus was arranged by Norwegian and you could either buy tickets on the ship and put it on your stateroom bill or you could get tickets outside the bus by sign a receipt and the cost was put on your stateroom bill. We had a 50 USD credit per store excursion and that could be used, which meant that we only had to pay for one person.

Hi, we didn’t pay gratuities for our free specialty restaurants. Our favorites on Norwegian Star were La Cucina and Le Bistro. Both Iceland and Greenland are amazing countries! If you have time spend some days in Iceland before or after the cruise!

The distance from the cruise port to the train station is 1,2 km and walking is around 15 minutes. But be aware that the surface on some parts of the walking route have paving stones., so if you have heavy suitcases you maybe will need 20-25 minutes.

Yes it was a great tour and our guide made it very entertaining. If we will visit a second time we would explore by our own. What did you do?

@@theerikssonfamilyadventure1082 we hired a taxi driver for 25 an hour and we went to several different places. We went to old Town Klaipėda than out to the curonian spit, ended up at the Lithuanian / Russian border where we saw a bunch of Russian soldiers.

In Santorini we took the excursion "Charming Oia Village". In Mykonos we took the free shuttlebus to the old port and then walked around by ourself. Enjoy your cruise!!

I made my husband to make the map to make it clear where the two ports are situated. It seems to differ what port you leave and/or leave from so it’s a bit confusing. Have a great cruise!!!!

Thank you for the kind words. I don’t know why they changed to Zadar, but my guess is that there were too many that planned to visit the same day. You will have a wonderful time in October and it will be much less crowded than during the summer months.

Yes when we booked the cruise the itineary was to go to Dubrovnik and Argostoli, but was changed to a sea day and Zadar.

We did "Charming Oia village" and had a great guide.

Thanks! The whole cruise was wonderful!!! We gathered in Stardust theater at 1.45 pm and were off quite fast on the tenderboat. We were in the first bus of four buses that did the same tour. The excursion ended in Fira at around 5.30 pm and we took the cable car down at around 6.30 pm. We had expected some queue, but walked straight in. The guide had told us that we were in Santorini a good day with just two more cruiseships visiting and the day after there would be six cruiseships. A good choice to cruise in september when hopefully the temparatures wont be as high as they are at the moment.

We booked this cruise in september 2021 and payed in full april 2022. Soon after payed in full we received an email with an invite to participate in the Upgrade Advantage program. We were booked in an outside cabin on deck 8 and put in the lowest bid (70 Euro per person) for an upgrade to a balcony cabin. We got an email 25th May that we had been upgraded to a balcony cabin at deck 10. The ship was only sailing with 50% capacity on our sailing 29th May so I would guess most people were successful with upgrading.

Thanks for your comment. I had never heard about Trieste before but was really pleasant surprised. Much less crowded and less busy than Venice. We were lucky to embark at the terminal at the center so we could walk from our hotel to the terminal. It was "italian style" at the embarkation process, meaning that it was a bit chaotic. We embarked around 10-ish. You will have a wonderful cruise!!!!

From Trieste airport it was very easy to take the train to Trieste Centrale. Do I understand you correct that you will spend one night in Venice and then go back to Trieste for your flight?

@@theerikssonfamilyadventure1082 Neither had we we were told it was a working port so expected somewhere like Civitavecchia that’s why we booked our hotel near the airport in Venice 🤦‍♀️hope there’s some Prosecco left for us 🥂🥰
