$100 in rebar and a bunch of rocks, this definitely is not great but it's good enough for the time being, and zero maintenance.

    The polarity is important when wiring these. However, the second and fourth breakers in that collection are the same as the first and the third. This means that the current when it’s looped around the top is now going through the breaker backwards as compared to number one and number three. This is in the direction that it’s supposedly not meant to stop. And more importantly, can cause a fire. No I’m not saying that happens. I’m saying that I don’t understand it.

    So if I want to use this as both a fuse and a cutoff on the output of my battery charger to my battery, the red wire on the charger goes in the ++ and then comes out the - - to continue on to the positive terminal of my LiFePO4 battery. I hate polarized DC breakers but the non-polarized breakers are both difficult to find and expensive when you do find them.

    I was nodding furiously when you mentioned the importance of handwritten letters. Unfortunately marketers know this too, as sometimes I receive printed mail presenting itself very convincingly as handwritten, and it takes almost forensic level examination to confirm the deceit. It's usually from realtors pretending to be an individual that fell in love with my house. They are the last people I would consider if I did want to sell, because I couldn't trust them. Thank God I saw this video. Bought 8 of these things to use as switches in lieu of isolators, to be able to shut off my 8 solar arrays when working on the system. By system I mean a bunch of equipment that I haven't installed yet. Do you know if anybody is selling the "polarity insensitive" ones yet that you mentioned coming out? I could use two more of these between my inverter/chargers and my battery bus, but since the inverters can pull from the batteries or charge them, I'm assuming that would be a textbook case of fire hazard due to the polarity sensitivity.

    Is there any difference between using a real estate lawyer and using a title company itself? Im assuming they do they same thing? Real estate lawyer does the escrow, writes up an offer letter for you to to give to the seller, checks for liens then contacts the county office and changes the deed to your name? Does a title company do the exact same thing / process? I got cash and am looking to buy raw land - never done before - still learning.

    • @dusthavendotcom
      @dusthavendotcom 2 роки тому

      Hey man! Yeah there's a big difference. A lot of things you listed (checking for liens, deed changes, escrow) is the title company. The agent can draft up the contract, but you can too. The escrow and title is all handled by the title shop. The agent's primary thing is to help you find what you want and negotiate the price. But past that you'd be using a title company for all the meat of the operation.

When that process happens, does the title company fax the counties titles / deed office the signed contract - then the county looks at it and updates their records with my name as the new owner? So I wont get an attorney and will go strictly through a title company - any suggested companies? Whats the average price, or is it a percentage fee? Is it genrally cheaper then an attorney? It will be for land in Tennessee, price around $100k. Also your video is well done, im surprised you dont have more subscribers.

      In most cases you're right, you very much want to protect the rebar from rusting. However a lot of rebar is driven straight into the ground (exposed to moisture) and in my case I'm in a pretty dry area so I'm okay with the corrosion.

    Hello my friend and thank you very much for your very informative video. I watched it all with caution but then at some point i lost it. Its many days now im trying to find out how to connect my one pole polarity sensitive dc circuit breaker (Kripal UKB7Z-50/1/C20) between my Victron Mppt charge controller output and the battery on the positive wire (since its one pole). The Mppt controller has a max output of 15amps when is in bulk charging. Should i consider the battery as a load and put the plus (+) symbol on the side of the controller and minus (-) symbol on the side of battery ? I dont think that the battery (12v 150ah) can return voltage back to the charge controller even when solar panels are not producing energy at night but again i need to be 110% sure how to connect this braker because im not expert and as you already know nasty things may happen if i do it wrong. So any help from your side would be really helpfull for me. Thank you .

    • @dusthavendotcom
      @dusthavendotcom 2 роки тому

      Hey Peter. If I'm understanding you correctly, the only way current should be traveling between a charge controller and a battery is from the charge controller into the batteries. The batteries should not be pushing current into the charge controller. I would put the ++ side of your breaker on the charge controller's output, and the -- side on the batteries. Your victron charge controller, and probably your panels, should have diodes in them that would prevent current from going backwards (from the batteries to the charge controller).

    • @petertomas3665
      @petertomas3665 2 роки тому

      @@dusthavendotcom Thank you very much for your opinion. I have some second thoughts thou because maybe the controller has diodes but as i red to some solar forums some people mentioned that in case the battery create a shortcut inside the battery or if controller gets damaged by some reason then many thousands of amperes will return to the controller. So they say that in the battery circuit with controller we put always the ++ at the battery side to prevent the huge amps return to the controler in case of failure. So yeah, and after all that i red somewhere else that specifically in the circuit of the battery and controler we put a circuit breaker that is non polarity sensitive. So, guess what i will do. I will install just a simple fuse lol. Thanks again !

    High freq All-in-One inverters and 'transformer-less' GT inverters do not isolate their PV inputs from AC output so both PV pos and neg terminals are riding on top of AC output. You need to have the double pole DC breakers, breaking both pos and neg lines, to remove AC from panels.

    • @dusthavendotcom

      I don't think the inverter would ever be higher voltage than the battery; it's a load that (without the batteries) is consuming amperage not producing it at all. I don't think there would be a source of current on the DC circuit from the inverter to the batteries.

      @@arafetkanso1405 No worries! Your solar panels should never become a load, using electricity. In a solar<->inverter/charger situation there should never be appreciable current going back towards the panels. Hey you're welcome, glad to help. One thing I'd add too is try to keep the drill as straight as you can. If you go through a rock at say 1', and then you keep going, you don't want to start getting a twist in the bit because it can lock up when it gets a little levered going to something at the 2' mark, if that makes sense. Basically just make sure you stay straight and don't over pressure the bit down because that can cause the shaft to flex, which result in it binding up.

    • @dusthavendotcom
      @dusthavendotcom 2 роки тому

      Generally the building codes are enforced at the county level, so I'd make a cross referenced list of states/regions you're interested in, then start googling for the building code process. In my experience any county (even very rural ones) who have big metro areas tend to likewise have a very heavy handed permitting process. So it tends to be a combination of remote county + no major city in that county. Any CC&R's (covenants, codes, & restrictions) would need to be on file with the county office, so provided you have the parcel number you should be able to pull any documents related to it. Depending on the county that might be electronic or (in my world) it was manually, printed paper in the office.
