Salted dried Buri is like the dry aku or ahi we have here in Hawaii. Also a delicacy that is a bit expensive to purchase.
This show gets me HYPED
Beautiful
Do you think the fertilizer made of tuna ads heavy metals to the radish.
Thus far, I only trust Chef Rika for my Japanese dishes (as a beginner) 😊😊
I love this show.
Amazingly interesting history of Japan.❤
*tries some first* 🐡🍱
I presume the thinking behind a disdain for public displays of affection works in tandem with broken-window theory, or the notion that such behavior may become a slippery slope to more heinous behavior, i.e. public urination, violent crime (I heard eating in public is very taboo in Japan) Hey..Yuki's eldest😊
Is there a video where I can go to see how the historic beehive is made ?
I Love The Wasabi Fields restoration...Marvellous work !!! I want some to see if I can grow some here in Australis... in my pesticide-free home garden!?
This world-class metropolis is a veritable gourmet wonderland.
As a line cook, living in Northern California, I found this program informative and fascinating. Even if I had eaten some of these things before, like pickled plums, watching it paired with slow cooked pork, sounds delicious. I learned a lot more about how these preserved foods are enjoyed! Thank you!
Why is it that when Caucasians show youtube, they often show their pale faces, unlike the Japanese who feature only the dishes.
I so much enjoy this program and it so happened to pop up 😮! I in the moment of attempting to watch all of the episodes viewing.....I have a special affinity with your people and culture......❤...
Why yy@ 26:30 host put so much food into her mouth she looked like she would choke. No manners 😢
She is used to it from “other” pursuits.
Finally found it😊 Me and my son watched this a few weeks ago and wanted to make this ever since😊😊😊 Thank you for posting❤
I love this series and how all the western hosts speak Japanese very well. It shows respect to the culture and all the ppl they meet while teaching westerners about Japanese items, methods and all the Oishii things about Japanese food!
The orange Tai were so interesting. I love how useful it all is. Not letting things go to waste. Very efficient.
Kamoboko is soooo cute! what a good way to get kids to eat their fish!
No wonder why Japan has reach its global stage as one of the best country, simply because they are so diciplined, respectfull, smart and very much clean people... only in my dreams maybe could i even go there....
Chef Rika, please give me a list in making Yakisuba sauce.
Great documentary about Tokyo. I wanna visit. I thought Tokyo is the largest city in the world with 40 million people? She said 14 million.
You’re both right. Population of Tokyo is 14million. Population of Greater Tokyo Area is 40 million. Looking out of the window on a train ride from Tokyo, through Kawasaki and onto Yokohama there is no indication where Tokyo-to ends and Kanagawa-ken begins.
Japan = The Kitchen restaurant of this world.❤️🇯🇵🎌👍✌️🍻🍻🍻🤤🤤😋😋
😋
I've made some of your dishes and they are definitely delicious ❤❤❤❤❤, USA. Keep up the good cooking.
Genius recipi!!
Very Nice NHk world for showing such good show 💕
Crap quality 360p !
😊
Jenni Olsen is my favorite. She’s so bubbly and energetic and of course, smiley! 🫠. Her Japanese accent is sooo good!
Japanese are so dedicated people, smart and hardworking.... they are very smart at everythinv that they do....
No...
@@ucc930ml Only the dedicated, smart and hardworking are chosen for filming? Just like everywhere else...
Yes...
Omg thank you, I saw this on TV and have been searching since!
thôi dạy nấu đơn giản thôi b,ai hơi đâu có cả bánh bao trộn vào nữa
I want to know the name of the theme song. Very relaxing! Maybe the production company made this specifically for the show?
Alpine Boy is the name of the song
@@griffinfinity Thank you! I only wish you could find it online. I searched all over and cannot find an audio file for it.
@@griffinfinity I found it! I searched on Spotify and saw that it was available to listen to there! The reason it is hard to find via regular web searches is that it is part of the Nash Music Library. Which is a Japanese music library service. It is not a song performed by a typical musical group or artist. Like the closing song for Document 72 Hours by Matsuzaki Nao. ua-cam.com/video/ChwLT4ByNU8/v-deo.html
The best daikon are determined by length and girth.
Uploading in 360p is a WASTE OF TIME !! It looks like Feces...

lmao, that half plastic mask does zero against the virus smh
i know right ?? That drives me crazy in NHK videos !!
A MUST!!!
Japan is one of a kind. One of my favorite places to visit one day.
i love watching this program! 5 11 2021
Hey Van Ta did you get permission from NHK to use this video on your channel. I will have them check your channel!
can you give us information if this video is updated 2021
16:20 I like this bit
Japan is one of the countries that I really want to visit.
Where did Japan get all its salt in historic times. It would take a ton of energy to produce this much salt.
By pooling sea water and letting it evaporate. Japanese summer's are very hot which also helps accelerate the process.
What kind of worldview lol
sun
Sea salt
I have a huge respect for the ancient culture, I love so much !!!!!
