The NBA Has A "Defense" Problem
What happened to defense in the NBA? It feels like this is a question that's being asked now more than ever before. The idea that basketball players are not playing defense as much as they used to. Defense is considered boring by a lot of fans, but it's also arguably the most important part of basketball.

The Art Of Dribbling
Переглядів 229 тис.Місяць тому
Dribbling is not the same anymore. The highlights we see in the NBA now are almost always push offs or straight up carries. Ankle breakers aren't as great as they used to be. There's an obvious reason for why its like this. But the concept of dribbling has gone through quite an interesting history of evolution. The original Dennis the Menace was truly a one of a kind. One of the most notoriously out of pocket and controversial athletes the world has ever seen. But his flashy ways is what made him such an icon. No One Cares About Russell Westbrook
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 місяці тому
There was a time when Russell Westbrook was the best basketball player in the world. Breaking records left and right , giving that fierce competitive energy on the floor every single night, and having one of the best MVP seasons we have ever seen. Just 3 years ago this man was averaging a triple double, but it seems like now nobody cares about Russell Westbrook anymore. Background Music: @epide...
Why Does Everyone Hate This Referee?
Переглядів 3 тис.4 місяці тому
Officiating is by far the most criticized and hated part about the NBA, and Scott Foster is one of the biggest reasons why. From having a blatant rivalry with Chris Paul, to being involved with a ref who admitted to betting and rigging games, Scott Foster seems to be in the center of controversy. This Doesn’t Matter

In the basketball world, there exists a certain type of athlete. A special breed who are slightly a cut above the rest. These players have what we call a killer mentality. A phrase used often in sports, but mainly in basketball. But I see this thrown around a lot especially in goat debates, and I wonder, how much does it actually matter?... This was fricken awesome
the 2000 was the greatest defense era ever & not even close sorry the 80's, 90's were overrated when it comes to defense
Hi Can you need a professional graphic designer
dribbling is literally the least important skill
nick anderson dropped 50 off the bench 30 years ago... i see the point ur going for but be accurate- plus that's not the only time it's happebed
The NBA needs to watch this video because all of this is sadly true. Too much carrying is going on.
Absolute cinema amazing recommended pull
Bro… there’s no next level. Jordan’s era was nearly perfection. Adam Silver should stop his circus and simply bring back the physicality of the game and rules of the 90s. Seriously.
1:13 isn't that a double dribble !!
Hold on am I overthinking it but in the thumbnail "bb" is covered by a basketball which can be shortened to "bb" aswell.
This video has alot of misinformation in it. Iverson was not a major influence on streetball. Rafer Alston was the primary influence along with later players such as Hot Sauce thru the And 1 mixtape team(formed in 1999 in New Jersey) and subsequent off shoot groups, such as the Notic and Young Players Association. The And 1 mixtapes first volume was released in late 1998 thru Footlocker during Alston's rookie year in advance the NBA. Streetball has been around since the 1950s in many major American cities with famous courts from the Rucker in New York to Venice beach courts in Los Angeles. Streetball influence began slowly in the 1970s(Julius Erving. pete Maravich, Earl Monroe, Nate Archibald and others) whi h brought more individualistic play to the NBA and took off in the early 1990s onward thru pros who grew up playing in these environments where you had to be able to create your own shot off the dribble to play where old school players focused on triple threat footwork and midrage pull ups.
Iverson didn't create that crossover dribble. It's true name is the DC crossover as that is the area from which it originated on the late 1980s. Iverson learned it from Dean Berry, a walk on player at Georgetown.
This video deserves more likes and views. I can't believe someone explained basketball so perfectly.
I played professional basketball in Greece (2nd Division) for 4 years and I was a decent defender who took pride in his defensive awareness. The hardest players to guard were always the scorers who could move without the ball.
Would you please explain this again. English isn't my first language. I don't get what you mean with "the scorers who could move without the ball", but I imagine it's something smart.
@@albusdumbledore271 For instance it's harder to guard Curry when he's moving without the ball, through screens off cath-n-shots than to guard him when he's got the ball and dribbling
Get this man a good mic now
Hardaway popularized it not Iverson, just because he crossed Jordan DOESNT mean that he "popularized or influenced" it.
This is a masterpiece of a video, loved the page, keep up the good work bro❤
Sakuragi hanamichi

fr gave me goosebumps
A huge video man. You're really him.
Nice vid, opened new perspectives on basketball defense for me. Really good editing quality, underrated channel fr
Btw micwise I noticed your S's are a bit iffy my ears r feeling sumthing
Bro was about to cry I swear
Super solid vid bruh. I 100% agree. great ending. lol @ James Harden the revolutionary traveler.
This changed my mind and the vision that i haved on the game including all the points...
Maaan, you are making great content here!
Once you get a new mic you gon be growin like crazy, keep it up
Offense rules are unfair that make it entertaining and thus harder for defence
Because basketball is a spectacle
i rather see 70 point game because of tougher defence than inflated 130, because each point feels like it matters it has its own value
Thats an unpopular opinion. But i agree, i come from a football background so lower points means more value. And i prefer the anticipation compared to the spectacle
Obviously talking bs
Better mic and your channell blows up my guy
good video
Almost had me liking and subscribing before you mentioned joel embiid
post more plz w content
