Star Wars weapons are stronger. As different the ships, technology and weapons are different - the biggest thing in common are M class planets that support humanoid life. The Death Star and star killer weapons in Star Wars turn planets into powder. Star Trek weapons are never that powerful.

Data: Unfortunately, resolution is only 99% in certain wavelengths. Picard: Why is that so, Mr. Data? Data: The scan sequence halted when the large spherical vessel opened fire upon the Enterprise, and the Enterprise retreated from the large spherical vessel at Warp 9 point 5. Picard (shifts uneasily in seat): Indeed. Data: Scans reveal that the large spherical vessel is as Commander Riker described it; a weapon of mass destruction. Specifically, a planet-killer. Pretty accurate. Except for one, that you should use Constitution instead. Both have similar concept of shield, both have same duranium hull. Ent D already utilize tritanium & ablative armor on hers.

Not bad. But an imperial SD would not be able to match the moves of the enterprise d. they got the phasers destroying ties accurately but the E would just flank the SD and take out its engines. Also, scanners would have shown them the superlaser earlier and they would have known to stay out of its target path. After seeing the full capability of the Enterprise D in Picard, we now know she would absolutely kick the a$$ of a SD

Star Trek: Shields, phasers, photon torpedoes, warp drive, transporters, time travel. Star Wars: Massive armies, shields, lasers, proton torpedoes, hyperdrive, the ability to destroy planets, the Force. Star Trek: Based on 1960's tech, then 1990's tech, then 2010's tech. Star Wars: based on 1970's tech, then 1990's tech. On a pure plot armour level, Star Trek wins because it has time travel. Luke's X-Wing could destroy the Enterprise.

If the federation and the empire were to go toe to toe, I think the empire would be stronger military wise but the federation would have better tactics. But the dominion vs the empire, the empire would stand no chance whatsoever. In Star Trek it took all major three factions bunching together to have an actual fighting chance against the dominion, of whom only had a quarter of their army available at the time because of the wormhole.
