Sometimes when you go fishing with a plan, things end up going the way you think they will. Other times they dont, and you end up getting some fun surprises in the mix. This was definitely one of those days, as I had intended to try and catch some more monster pike out of the creek, but I ended up landing the biggest bass of the year on a new bait!

This was an interesting fishing experience, as I was able to fish 2 bodies of water from the same launch point. Out near Henrietta NY and the Ballantyne bridge, there is a little park that allows access for boats and kayaks to the Genesee River and Black Creek.
