Japandi Elegance in Tampines | SG Home Tour | Plush Interior Design
In the serene neighborhood of Tampines, Singapore, our director Chris has transformed a 1100 sqft HDB unit into a tranquil Japandi-inspired retreat. This design seamlessly blends natural wall colors, warm wooden flooring and cabinets, and gracefully curved arc-edged walls, combining Contemporary Chic with Japandi simplicity.
The clean, minimalist aesthetic features a neutral palette enhanced by warm wood accents, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The arc-edged walls add an organic touch, enhancing the space's flow and softness. This project offers a perfect balance of modern elegance and timeless comfort, making the Tampines HDB unit a true sanctuary.

It's dark, depressing and boring. It's like coming home to an office. At least have some life greenery in strategic spaces. It can still be elegant, chic and minimalist.

Likely sacrificed the room for that. Leaving the bedroom so small with no choice but to install a bi-fold door to visually enlarge the spatial feel.

I am surprised there are two toilets in the 3-room HDB. As an extra one added?
The very old type 3I models have only 1 bathroom and 1 toilet, separated. The newer types like 3NG and 3A, and the BTO ones have 2 bathrooms with toilet.

We use matt tiles in this house flooring
Not practical to have wardrobe in bathroom as the humidity from bathroom will cause mould.

Yes it is. Except no window grille is install for this house. We are also cats owner and are aware how to design a car friendly house.

We did extension to the bathroom. The previous bathroom was too small. 😊
