What did u do to get the witches hat to hang from your porch?
@@robynbrown1549 I used eye hooks in the soffit. 🥰
I would be scared to walk at night time😂
Thats looks so creepy at night wow 👻
What is the temperature there?
@@m52au it was about 55-60° on this day.
Am I missing something? Are you using two trees? One for the swing and the other for the attached motor? Otherwise I don't think it works. The direction that the seat swings needs to be parallel to the direction the motor cranks. Using one tree in this setup, the branch that the swing is roped to swings perpendicular to the direction that the motor cranks. You never showed us the full display in action.
@@rickarchambault4756 it’s just one tree. I adjusted the direction of the ghost to make it work
I feel like the head on mine is too heavy for the fishing line but yours looks the same. How did you do the fishing line exactly?
Super helpful tutorial! What did you use to create your motor arm? Trying to build my own and I’m not sure how you got that length or how you got it to securely connect without the motor slipping.
@@chrisandkat I used a mending plate! You could also use a piece of pvc pipe. 🥰
@@scarriehalloween how did you keep it from slipping?? Very curious to understand how you got that arm assembled.
@@chrisandkat I just tightened in down to the motor bolt. I used the nut that came with the motor
@@scarriehalloween oh interesting. The wiper motors I’ve used have always had a notched base with notched arms that come with them. But those are much shorter (only 2”). Haven’t been able to make a reliable diy arm.
@@chrisandkat oh! I always take those off and add my own
That's not a bad idea. I might just do it for next year's Halloween haunt
Does wiper motor get hot to touch? inside container? If so, what do to ? Ive already made holes in side of container.. Still not helping.
@@zeliop6024 hmmm, I have not had that issue…not sure how to troubleshoot
My wiper motor gets hot in the box.. Does anyone else see this happen and what to do, if so?
You've got some of the best instructions on the internet. Everything is very, very clear. Thanks for your hard work!
@@MegaKemper thank you so much! I really appreciate the positive feedback!
crea más animatronics te queda geniales 🙏🙏
Was the bracket a special bracket? I’m struggling to get my motor to stay still in the box, but I don’t see a bracket specifically for the motor anywhere!
@@TheStripeZone it was just a basic corner bracket. You can get creative and use anything to attach the motor to the board. I’ve used hose clamps before too.
So, have another question. I am struggling with. After a few spins the wheel gets wobbly and the line comes off. It doesn’t spin smoothly, it spins “off center”. Any thoughts on what may be causing this? I used JV weld on the couplings to ensure they were tight, but I’m still getting the wobble.
You really get a lot of bang for your buck with this one! Simple materials, fantastic prop. Thanks for sharing!
@@susanowen1709 thank you!
I'm going to do this with but hang it from long PVC pipe from my 2nd story roof
@@ChrisMullinsMr perfect!
Fish one breaks what should I use
So cool that it looks like it’s float in mid air!
And new thing already good job Miss Carrie. Great job on all your work.😊
@@Whiteli1331 thanks, Eli! It’s definitely spooky season!
I love reapers you have gave me a lot of ideas of making animatronics and now all thanks to you. I’m making your famous flying ghost. Thanks for the tutorial.😊❤🎉
😊
😊
Yes, it is definitely spooky season. I can’t wait for it to be Halloween.
Yet ANOTHER awesome prop!! Why do you rock so hard?! GREAT STUFF and keep the tutorials coming. You know what? Seeing your journey makes me want to be a content creator. 🙂

PERFECT! So easy to build, but so effective. I'll find room for it. Thank you very much!
thats creepy even during the day!
Respect!! 😅
i noticed you added a couple pieces that weren't in the original diagram, specifically 2 straight couplings and 2 smaller pieces of PVC would you be able to tell me the length of those extra pieces?
@@jackjackson5568 I’m not sure what you’re referring to. There were no additional pieces added beyond the diagram and tutorial
Love to see better view of the motor mount bracket
Looking for the video on how to wire everything and how to use speed controller and get power to everything. Did I miss it in your library?

"I scared my self...." HAAAA!!!!! CLASSIC!! Another wonderful tutorial - you ROCK!! THANKS!!
One other thing Carrie...slap your knee and call me silly, but how does the Synchronous Motor attach to the plug needed to give it power?
@@MarijkevanGyen haha! It comes with a plug!
@@scarriehalloweenI was wondering the same thing
This year I was throwing out an ottoman but I decided to strip it down for material instead. Glad I did because the core of it was basically a low box made of wood boards, and I could re use it as the frame of one of these with little modification. Mine is very slightly taller and smaller in footprint, but it still looks perfect for the cemetery.
@@sarrakitty perfect! Happy haunting!
Oh my gosh Carrie!! You've done it again!! This wonderful swinging Ghoul will be scaring the kiddies this year. Actually, it will be scaring plenty of Adults too!! I'm definately creating this one here in Australia. Bye the way...your garden looks beautiful.
@@MarijkevanGyen thank you! I appreciate it!
Carrie...I LOVE your videos. You make it super easy to set up FAB Halloween 'surprises.' I live in Australia and hopefully I can find the same motors etc with Aussie connections. I'm looking forward to Halloween this year...
@@MarijkevanGyen thank you so much! I got the motors on Amazon and have a link posted. Hopefully it’s available to you in Australia!
I attached everything like you said & the motor is spinning but it’s not turning the pvc pipe. Any suggestions?
@@MeghanCrowley it’s possible you need glue (or duct tape) to connect the pvc pipe to the motor cap. Try that!
Such a great idea! Do you do anything to water proof the motor since this is sitting outside?
@@Baylordawg16 thank you! yes! I wrap it in plastic and also put the cord in a Tupperware.
What are Fairy lights?
@@stevetrump7399 they are mini lights
