I’ll be glad to get back to the allotment x
That is a great parsnip.😜👌
@@nickthegardener.1120 thanks, not a bad first attempt at growing them!! Haha
@@Allotment.Newbie-Jenna definitely, they're hard to get going to start off with a d normally fork.👌👍
@@nickthegardener.1120 I was given some tips on growing in the ground and it’s clearly worked! Tasted great too, the rest is in the freezer haha
@@Allotment.Newbie-Jenna I had homegrown parsnips last year for the first time and you can't beat it. 👍👌
Amazing sharing ....my friend
@@BETAMandailing91 thanks ☺️
That parsnip was worth the fight with the ants a brilliant size, well done 😊
@@gardentothekitchenwithtracy thank you absolutely chuffed to bits!
Oh no 😢 but great parsnip 👍
Amazing size!
@@bristolveggiebeds5310 thank you! Not bad for a first attempt! 😊
Awesome Jen, I really need to remember to take more still pictures of the garden. Oh purple variety 🤣 sounds good. I haven’t decided if I’m even going to grow garlic this year they are such a long growing plant. Lots on the go 👍. Hope you and Pops are well, Ali ☔️🥶🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden yeah you forget how far you’ve come and how much things grow, so it’s great to sit back and compare. I’m worried about my garlic and winter onions as it’s done nothing but rain since I planted them…hoping they don’t rot! My pops is back at work so might not see him as much, but he’ll be at the allotment when he can, lovely to hear from you 😄
@@Allotment.Newbie-Jenna I can understand that concern Jen I had my elephant garlic rot in a bed a few years back and silly me tried growing garlic in pots and they drowned 🤦♀️ but as long as you have drainage they should be ok 👍
That’s a big un 😂👍
@@GanggangPeanut lol I know but it tastes great 😊
@@Allotment.Newbie-Jenna I love parsnips they are usually sweet tasting, 👍
@@GanggangPeanut they are and I’ve plenty left to harvest, but that one parsnip will last me for quite a while!
That’s a stonking big parsnip! Congratulations.
@@janeclay1917 haha thanks, tried it last night roasted, was lovely! Rest has been frozen, could have fed 5-6 people!! 😵
Prize parsnips🏆🏆🏆🏆🤣🥰🥰🥰
@@Truthfully7 I’d like to think so!! Hahaha 🤣
Good job 😊
@@Sellers707 thank you…still ache after all the digging!
Good job Jenna Congratulations on your days books. Your garden is coming along nicely 😊 Happy gardening
@@reneesellers9708 thank you!
Hello Jenna your video popped up so I watched it and a few of your other videos 👍 you have a new subscriber here and fellow Gardner UA-camr 👍 keep growing things through autumn it’s a good time of the year, and also a good time to plan for next year, and to spend time building your plot how you want it , beds, fences etc, maybe film these moments and post them for us to see 👍👍😂
@@GanggangPeanut lovely to have you aboard! I’ll be planting my garlic out soon but that’ll be about it as I don’t have a green house or poly tunnel to grow through winter, got my parsnip harvest still to do and we have some plans to build a few things, so there most certainly will be videos coming your way very soon! Thank you for subscribing it’s very much appreciated 😊
😂😂 you are so correct but yep we wouldn’t have it any other way
Ps if you twist the one beet instead of pulling they should come out and leave the little one to grow on, awesome harvests guys 👍👍👍
@@myrustygarden I’ll give it ago! Have a fab growing week 😄
😂😂 weeding digging and oh yeah giggling. I agree posting when something goes on is always what I try to do. Oh I forget is that greenhouse yours? If so have we had a tour inside, it’s very cool. You could have saved carrot seed too 👍, win. I always kill lavender 🤦♀️ I don’t know why. We finally have some cooler weather here and oh my gosh a drizzle of rain. Have a super week Jenna keep at it, Ali 🌧️🌞🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden exactly, I’m just not going to be as regimented with my videos, so I’ll update you all soon hopefully! No the green house isn’t mine, that’s on the other side as I share my plot with another lady, although she did say when she gets a new one I can have the old frame so I could recycle it, fingers crossed 🤞 I’ve got millions of carrot seeds just can’t seem to grow any at the minute haha
I have just come across your channel and subscribed but I will enjoy catching up with all your vids thankyoux

I will certainly do that in my first catch up video, thanks for the suggestion 😊
Sadly, chard roots aren’t edible. Great harvest!
@@janeclay1917 blooming shame as they look so nice haha, although when I looked it up there was divided opinions as to if you can eat them or not 🤷♀️😂 Thanks I’m just happy I have stuff still growing!

@@nickthegardener.1120 get to bloody work or we’ll have to change your channel to the slacker 🤣🤣
Hey Jenna, I was up your neck of the woods on Saturday dropping my granddaughter off home, she came to stay with us for a few weeks. The garden looks amazing, you are doing a fantastic job, I’ve got this pallet collars but I put them the other way up so it’s safer with the metal bit, I have that in the ground so it holds them steady. It is so much easier, trouble is, I didn’t line mine, just filled them and they are awful for weeds 🤦🏻♀️ need them redoing I think. Xxx
@@millashawshire2212 lovely what area of Doncaster were you in? I never even thought of that with the pallet collars, thanks for the tip will do that with the others, although we have 2 up now lol
