How funny, I'm just watching this now. Not sure if you'll even see this but how amazing was it to finish nursing school? Night shift is ROUGH, I'm doing it now, in the NICU. I was also interested in L&D/Nursery/NICU. Good luck if you haven't started working yet or congratulations if you've found a job :)

cute stethoscope. I have the same one in maroon, has been my trusty friend for 7 years. One tip though, wearing those around your neck for long periods of time starts to make your neck sore, and if you work with kids they love to grab and pull, so as soon as I can I stash it in my pocket or bag. but love your video, glad you're excited.

huh, I never got to pick my clinicals, we just got an assignment, and we went. 7-3, and we had to get there at 6:30 for report. This brings back memories, hard to believe in July I would have graduated SEVEN years ago. Good luck, it's hard work, but you'll make it.

Also I applied to three nursing schools in Canada and one of them, I got accepted :) ( I am also waiting other university's final decisions about acceptance) I am So happy to start in this fall semester 2014 ! The mosby's drug guide is the best. Better than Lippencott and Pearson IMHO :)

I'd just subtly make a suggestion to the administration if I were you. Usually if most of the class fails a test, it's because the content wasn't taught properly or the test was poorly written with confusing multiple choices or random topics. The faculty should either improve their teaching methods or lower their high expectations when they're writing the test. Thanks for being honest about your performance. Good Luck on your next exam.

How was giving an iv? I'm thinking about nursing school and that's one thing I am nervous about ever being comfortable with. Id like to work in L&D so it would be an everyday thing there.

I am a NWACC Nursing student going through Track I, started two weeks ago and I have a question regarding Fundamentals. I am panicked over the Dosage Calculations exam and the 92% I have to get. How hard is the exam honestly? lol. I've been in sheer panic since I read the 92 on the syllabus. And any suggestions to help me with it? I know there's a retake but I want to pass first time.

my schedule turned out to be pretty breezy. i went to clinical on mondays from 1-8pm, lab on wednesdays from 9-4, lecture on thursdays from 9-4. my course is hybrid, however. so a lot of lecture was also online (powerpoints) to watch. homework this semester wasn't too bad. reading for each (5) exam. but there was plenty of time to prepare for the exams. i think i'm in for a rude awakening next semester--the information is going to be much harder than fundamentals.

turns out we DO need it. these people are crazy ;)

i am in a 15 month ADN program. i will graduate with my RN. :)
