Is a Cheap Amazon 12v Refrigerator Worth Buying?
I purchased this refrigerator almost a year ago and have used it many times. Very little to complain about considering the price. Works well, doesn't consume a lot of power, and keeps food fresh. If there are any questions about this model let me know!

How has this been holding up for you? Need to get me one for a cross country trip.
Great! My only complaint with is is the lid.
Great! Only complaint with it is the lid.
Nice! Can you do a video on how to lift lifted jeeps and which jack is better suited for it?
That would be a good video. To clarify... you are simply looking for the best Jack to use for a lifted jeep, correct?
Hey man, I have a great tip to share to you why tents gets so hot in the summer and how you can prevent that from happening with no problem while the tent is being exposed to the sun. So what you want to do is replace your darker colour tent with a white tent or for the very least a lighter colour tent that is because white or lighter coloured tents reflect a lot of sunlight reducing heat absorption, causing the inside of your tent to naturally stay cooler. On the other hand, the reason why you would not want a darker colour tent is because they absorb so much heat when exposed to sunlight causing the inside tent to become much warmer. So if you want to keep your tent much cooler for the very most then the white tent will be the answer to all the problems 👍. It is just like how snow keeps the temperature colder automatically because of its high albedo due to the snow being white, so that the heat can be reflected back to space. Combining with that if you use a portable air conditioning in a white tent then the inside of your tent will cool down like twice as fast or more and the cold air inside your tent will last much longer. Thank you and great video by the way 👍.
Thank you for the input! Much appreciated and very valid points. There are a ton of factors that play into tent choice and ability to sleep comfortably. You are absolutely correct though. Personally, the tent I have is the one I use all year around. I've figured out heating, cooling is tricky though, within a reasonable budget anyway. I'll be putting this setup to the test soon so fingers crossed!
Yep that’s a good idea 👍. The story about me was I wanted to see if I can save an igloo of mine that I like to have built every winter from melting in the very warm temperatures because this recent winter was being record warm so what I did was I added 2 white tarps covering the igloo so the white tarps can do the sunlight reflecting instead of the snow getting hit by the sun and melting and for it to provide very good insulation for the cold air that is underneath the igloo to stay. When I putted it to the test the igloo ended up being saved from temperatures that were as high as 21°C which is almost 70°F outside which is basically summer like temperatures and the crazy part was the white tarps that was covering the igloo was being exposed to the sunlight the whole time and it was record-breaking to see how a snow igloo survives such temperatures that were this warm and when I went in the igloo to check on the temperature inside, it was still remaining at 0°C/32°F the whole time which is basically at the freezing mark 👍. So this is how good having white really is at keeping the temperatures cold, it works on anything.
Hcalory (HC-A01) It's a really good product I'm using it, too It's better to use a converter to combine the discarded waste exhaust heat with a hot water boiler There are a lot of videos in my condensate
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
QUIET YO SHIT DOWN ANIMALS TRYING TO SLEEP OUT HERE

Idk if THAT was, but this is.
Looks like a great time!
It's always a good time! Thanks for watching!
Hey man great video! thanks for showing around. Now picking one up for my family of four for my JT. If y'all are ever camping in Western NC let us know.
Nice! I hope yall enjoy it as much as we do. We find ourselves up that way from time to time. I don't think we've pushed very far north, though.
Yeah that looks like fun out there. I got to go back
It sure is. Hopefully I can get back out there soon

This is now the only camping spot at Charlie’s Creek and it’s a great spot at the top of the trail, my wife and I love this place. Awesome video my man!!
Thank you and thanks for watching! Charlie's Creek is always a good time. Luckily, I haven't had to look for other camping spots. I'm sure my luck will run out at some point.
I don't know about you guys but all I know is that jeep thing burns when I pee.
🤣
Nice one subbed cheers 🍻
Shot ya a subscribe back! Thanks for watching!
@@bargainmodder your a woodsman gangsta 😆 thanks
that's worth knowing.
Thanks!
My soon to be stomping grounds
It's a nice area and fun. I look forward to our next trip.
Are there trails for beginners? I’m starting to get involved in the off-road hobby
@@pilkster88 None of the main service roads are difficult, just make sure the weather is in the right condition for your abilities.
Thanks for the heads up
How do you get to this trail?
Thank you for this video!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
My stomping grounds too 👍
Fun area! I hope to do another trip out that way in the future.
Thank you for the video. Can you please share which trailer you are using? I like your overall setup.
Thank you for watching! The trailer is an early 2000s safari conqueror Basecamp from South Africa. You can find them for sale from time to time in the US. Check out some of my other videos where I have been slowly adding things and upgrading old parts. Definitely more content to come in the future of it.
So, a 400w power bank which is 33 amps at 12v giving a reserved 30 amps usable, on a load consuming 1 amp per hour on the low setting. As long as you leave enough safety margin for the shutdown cycle and the Jackery is not below 32f (as capacity will drop), you could use the Jackery easily for 24 hours on a continuous burn.
Solid feedback! Well articulated. Sounds spot on based off of my real-world use. Thanks for sharing!
Always check out your videos I bought the exact same trailer last yr needs some tidying up still though.
Thanks for watching! I have a few things planned for the trailer like electric brakes , body work, and paint.
Id be interested in seeing what you do with yours! Its hard to find much info on this trailer or owners that use them.
I have the 72 walkabout older version for 2 years now. Spent about 45-50 days in it and it still hold up extremely well. The only negative thing about it is the setup/tear down time. If you do winter camping, highly recommend the thermal layer that 23zero offers. We went from shivering in 30-35 degree to extremely warm the next night. The LST is way too dark to the point that we don't even want to get up.
Glad to hear yours is holding up well! My biggest sticking point is tear down and pack up. That dang zipper on the cover gets hung up constantly. I can't speak for the thermal layer as I use a diesel heater but I'm sure it helps out a ton. Agreed on the LST. While it is awesome, I have no idea when the sun comes up so I have to set an alarm so I don't sleep in too long.
@Baebon6259 The walkabout 72, does it have a flap to close the entrance from the inside, to keep the thieves from coming up while you sleep?
Diggin the trailer! You’ve got a new sub!
Thanks! It's work in progress, but it's fun! Thanks for subscribing! I subscribed to you as well.
What brand trailer is that?
It's a conqueror, a South African company.
3 mins set up, 12 mins tear down is pretty good.
Not bad at all! I've probably got it down to a little faster tear down now. Thanks for watching!
I've seen other videos that the green hose should be replaced with a thicker white hose
I have seen those reviews as well. It certainly wouldn't hurt, but I haven't had any issues yet.
That doesn't appear to be Top Gear. I'm sure it has the same logo, but that aint it.
The show on the TV is and the music in the video.
Hahaha. Wrong crew.@@bargainmodder
Bonjour, pouvez-vous me dire si il est possible de faire fonctionner la valise couchée sur le côté? Pour mettre dans le double plancher d'un camping car qui mesure 20 cm de haut. Merci. Bien cordialement. Philippe.
Hello. I do not believe the diesel heater can operate on its side.
I’m sorry every time I hear Molly Hatchet I think of the Daytona 500 game by Sega
Lol, I mean.... you're not wrong.
I think Top Gear.
Nice god bless
Thank you!
Ide rather be riding with a small town girl,Rollin in the mud, grabbing squeezing, 💋 😂😊
Does it fit on a large suv Ford expédition Or same size?
It should fit. It's 87 inches long just make sure your dynamic and static weight limits meet you needs and can hold the tent.
Looks great! What’s the brand of the awning ?
It's a Rough Country. I was hesitant but the deal I found was hard to pass on. I'll be doing a review on it soon. Thanks!
I purchased this a week ago. However I'm having trouble with leaking when I installed the nozzle into the tank. At first I thought it wasn't tight enough, but it still leaks very slowly after tightening where the line is wet with diesel. Does yours leak by any chance?
Mine does not leak at all. Did you make sure the o-ring gaskets are on the inside and outside of the fuel line attachment on the tank?
@@bargainmodder yes i have both the o-ring installed. I also re-tightened and left it overnight, but the line ended up still wet to touch with diesel so there's a small leak coming out. As a last resort, i applied silicone seal around the nozzle outside so we'll see if that works.
@RobMascarinas that is odd. Hopefully, your silicone idea works. Best of luck! It's a great little unit.
SWEET SETUP! 👍👍
Thank you!
Subscriber 73 here for you buddy!
Thanks man!
He thought it was a turnpike.
Yea... I can see the confusion lol
After seeing the driver, it made perfect sense.
We tried to get him to turn around but never seen him again.
10/10 great tent to sleep in! Handled weather and the elements great this past weekend. The blackout technology was very nice as well. It's almost too nice!
Bought one and pointed out elephant in the room that nobody on UA-cam wants to show like the Controller isn't ip rated etc.
That's valid and I did not think to mention it. You definitely want to take the proper precautions to keep it dry.
👍👍👍.Thank you
My pleasure
Hi, Thanks for the video. What was the drill bit size for the fuel line hole?
My pleasure. Thanks for watching. As far as drill bit, I'm not sure. I guess I should have provided that information. I just started small and worked my way up until it was a tight enough fit to get the threads to bite into the plastic and screw through.
@@bargainmodder Good idea. Thanks.
no way on the plastic box unclosure
Curiosity... why do you say that? They are very common, and there are heat guards through to prevent melting.
great stuff
Thanks!
does this heater comes with 120v plug or 12v socket ? do you have to purchase extra adapter to plug ?
It comes with a 12v wire with pig tails to connect to a battery. I purchased a 12v cigarette plug style from Amazon and wired it together so I can plug it into my jeep or overland trailer.
Great video. Love that area.
Thanks! I'll definitely be doing another trip at some point in the near future.
Awesome job!
Thanks!
What does the left down fuel button does? prime?
The small button on the bottom left?
I'll have to look back at the manual but I believe it's just to reset the fuel level on the screen.
Hell yeah
Good video. I just came to your channel from VU.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Exhaust pipe going upwards, many diesel heater videos condemn this, it suppose to results in some carbon cumulation? So would it be better to let the exhaust pipe to run downwards
Interesting. I'll have to look into that. This model is designed to route it the way I did but that's not to say it's correct lol. Thanks for the input! It's worth assessing.
Yea when I buy mine I will only put exhaust upright when storing it
