This was an epic band. Syd crushed it on vocals! What a talent.
Been playing GP lately...read that Anton Fier is no longer with us....pulling out the LPs and CDs. THE Great American Band.
The greatest band few people have even heard of. Syd Straw….isn’t it obvious?

It's fun to see this live performance of a great song. Syd Straw's vocal is intense, even a bit maniacal--powerful, more so than another live performance I've seen. Who's on lead guitar? The original studio version, of course, benefits from the guitar work of Richard Thompson.

omg - i was there at this show! how did i not notice (or remember) the video cameras? phenomenal show - one of my favourite ever. by the way, that bassist is Matthew Sweet before he even recorded his first solo album. the tall guitarist behind him is Peter Blegvad - unbelievable musicians rotating through each song. can't believe what i am seeing!
