Full Metal Jacket (1987) - Ain't War Hell? HD

Full Metal Jacket www.imdb.com/title/tt0093058/ Probably one of my favorite scenes in a Stanley Kubrick film with an equally fascinating backstory between Kubrick and Tim Colceri. You may have not got the part Tim, but you have always been one of the most memorable characters in a film I have ever seen. "How can you shoot women and children? Easy! You just don't lead them so much. "

www.imdb.com/title/tt0145046/ German-American Dieter Dengler discusses his service as a U.S. naval pilot in the Vietnam War. Dengler also revisits the sites of his capture and eventual escape from the hands of the Viet Cong, recreating many events for the camera. One of my favorite Werner Herzog documentaries.

To those who are watching: this is the best dub ever recorded. Enjoy the ride.
So this is where Sergio Leone got his duel scenes from!

It’s crazy to think without war and the u.s. military we might not have any technology today…
Military marsch name?
"Git Sum!"
It's already boring. Agree.
Why did you let him in the first place 😂
These comments are ehh.
Number One Rule of entertainment: DO NOT BE BORING! Kubrick somehow missed this lesson.
Does film need to be "entertaining" for it to be successful? Is it not allowed to be something more? Contemplative, thought provoking, depression, etc.. Film can be many things. Don't limit yourself.
Oh the memories of adult swim in the early 2000's. Nostalgic.
I think this is the funniest scene ever, sorry 🤷🏻♂️
Buster Keaton was the best.
God I love this movie so much
Крайне бредовая сцена с точки зрения военных действий. Где пушки? И поразительная точность французов
He fought them unarmed… goddamn……
Those are some strong katana’s. Clashing steel like that is a guaranteed way of breaking your sword.
When a samurai lets his sheeth fall to the ground it means to the death.

Famous not ‘Infamous’
I have seen at least a thousand movies since the 1980s but had never seen this until recently. It took me three nights to finish Barry Lyndon (my wife was hardly paying attention) but on the third night I felt compelled to rewatch this scene and my wife asked whether I had already seen this part (she recognized the music from the previous night). I told her that I had but wanted to watch it again. After that she couldn’t stop watching, we finished the movie, I came to UA-cam to see which scene was (most?) popular, and found out this was a very rewatched scene.
This was one of the best films I have ever seen
This movie would have been so much better if he was in the union. It's hard to get behind traitors fighting for slavery.
Magnificent movie
The part where Michael Pitt passively aggressively says how he should’ve came by himself almost sounded like he was scolding the other psycho for doing too much.
I gotchu mother DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKDAKKA
so much was said with no words at all. love kubrick for this scene.
Actually there is a reason for every example he brought...
Brilliant
How come this is clear as day but 2007 yt videos have 0 visibility

You know every American and English director in Hollywood watched this movie and thought “Fuuuuuuck this is badass!”
The entire Western civilization was built on this insane "attrition warfare"... but if Russians are doing it, then it must be stupid and evil...
This is not attrition warfare?
As I always say, don’t trust people who wear gloves in a weird environment
Greezy little fkr. If there was a time I could slap someone through a screen it would be here 😂 Lucky could smell shit a mile away.
Y tan infamous, 😢 vaya desgracia...
What is their enemy? Looks like Greece
French
What a douchbag.
The main character looks like Carmy from ‘The Bear.’ Maybe he’s a vampire…
