Had a Ruger 4in.Security Six back in the day. Best sidearm ever! Miss it!

I never shot or owned a Revolver. I have been researching them a lot this year. I narrowed it down to SW/COLT in 44mag. Since it will be first handgun I own that won’t be an edc I am looking to get both in 6’

1:08 I’m going to stop the video here. Colt wins. The top strap thickness is larger. The Colt can handle more pressure. I understand there are cheap guns, but that isn’t the title of the video.

I have both of these and they are super accurate, I shoot them both at 100 yard 12” gong and can hit 10 out of 10,also I can hit a 16” gong at 200 yards 4 out of ten so far.

Easy. 686 S/W 7 shot. Also, it's the only. 357 I own.

Between a viper, a 2.5in classic python with its smaller grips, and a S&W 327 for ccw. Any insight? Will be my first wheel gun and might be my only, so think with the if I could only have one mentality. Did not really plan on a colt and love the S&W on paper… then I felt the python and viper in real life and fell in love! Felt like a Rolex!!!

I don't really care for your sneering opinions about the Viper line!! I personally don't have any need for any 44 mag as im a 45ACP guy. The Viper is a adorable throwback made much better and will add to my collection with my Cobra 🐍 and Python blued 4.25 !!

I’ve watched and read thousands of videos and articles on this gun. I tried to dislike it. Went to Academy sports and saw it in the glass case. I knew if I held it I would hate it. So I got this New gun now 😅 Also Jill Valentine 😍🥰

Given the parameters you have established, I would take my Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman. I have quite a few .357 Magnums

Since I only have and only need one 357 magnum, I would take my loaded 6-inch Smith & Wesson model 27.

Both appeared to have three slots. One is just a little blurry in the middle and the scope is sitting on the back slot. The second picture has the scope sitting on the center slot. That top revolver from the NRA is a little blurry along the rail, but you can actually feed zoom in see what looks to be a center notch.

I like the 627 for the 8 shots , but I wish they would just make a normal looking one . All stainless , regular style barrel and full under lug. Basically like a 629 classic but in 357/ 8 shot.

I will take a Colt any day over a S&W, smoother trigger and cylinder release and I own both.

Love the fun scenario! You got yourself a subscriber! Unfortunately, all I have wheelgun wise is 4 LCRs, which are too small for this scenario and a 5 larger Taurus'. I'd probably go 7 shot 6" Taurus 66, although the 7 shot 4" Tracker is a close second.

I would choose a fighting type revolver. one you can use up close in hand to hand if needed and still be useful at range. I would choose a 3" hammer-less Kimber K6 (light weight and all edges smoothed out for no snagging. 6 shots, good trigger and good accuracy)

I think in recent years up until present day, Smith and Wesson quality control from the factory has gone down hill ((severely)) as well as their customer service when things do go wrong being hit and miss, will send me strait to Colt. I WAS looking at their performance center 629 competitor as well as their 629 chrome and black hunter BUT, I'm just not gonna spend that kind of $$$ with SO many probs at S&W lately. I think I'll buy an anaconda! Did YOU have issues with a few Smiths??

Cool topic. I’ve got those same S&W’s and agree that out of your 4 options the V-Comp is the best call, but my collection includes the 327 TRR8 equipped with the same 8 rounds and a lower rail with a spotlight. That scary house might need some good light and some hot lead overnight.

I liked this short scenario video makes one question. I have a Ruger Security Six 357 in 6 shot a Smith and Wesson model 19 in 357 also 6 rounds a Smith and Wesson model 686 first year 1981 6 shot and a Taurus model 66 in 357 but it's a 7 round revolver. All 4 are great and reliable I'm going with the Taurus because yes that one extra round I may need for myself.

Had mine for a few months now. $499 + shipping. Finish is MUCH DARKER than what you show ( it's very, very, good however ). She runs fine so far with only a few rounds through.

The GP also has a Forcing Cone cut to 11°, that may explain the differences in velocities.

Great video! Very informative and entertaining. I have a collection of Colts and I would like to add to it with an Anaconda. However, I do like S&W revolvers. The price difference is about $500 in my area of Colorado, which I'm willing to pay for the Colt. I'd like to see a blued version of the Anaconda so I'll wait for a bit and see what happens. I have a 7 1/2 inch Ruger Redhawk 44 mag. which is a great shooter but it's big and heavy to carry when I'm hunting. I'd like to say I have decided but I haven't yet, but your video was sure interesting. Thanks.

Basically accurate depending on skin tone. The darker one gets the less accurate this synopsis becomes unfortunately.

Thanks for the vid . Colts customer service is now officially as bad as smith . I’ll be getting the Ruger. They don’t seem to have problems getting repairs right in my experience .

After 2 trips back I’d normally say the Colt is DQ’d. But I’ve had SW ruin a model 41 after 3 trips back, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts when the Colt comes back. Never shot a Colt , but it’s hard to imagine the shooting experience could be better than the 617
