FIAT 500 - How to replace coolant radiator / blower motor - DIY
Переглядів 25 тис.Рік тому
Welcome to my UA-cam channel. In this video you can find out how to replace coolant radiator/ blower motor step by step. Music: Machine Guy - gbry.svg
Well done… my fiat is a little different but same process!
what year SQ5?
I have 2016 and this exactly how mine is
Complete waste of time and effort... The Fan and surround can be removed with the bumper and Radiator is position... 1. Remove wiring for resistor and fan + - 12v supply 2. undo and remove two screws holding the fan in place, then slide the fan to the side to allow it to move out of the retaining tabs... 3. jack the front of the car up so the wheels are about 4 inches off the ground, then remove the fan and surround from underneath the car... Only one side of the car needs to be raised. Install new rad fan in reverse of removal. Time taken about 45 mins Max...
Maybe, but I was replacing radiator too and you can't remove it without removing a bumper. Radiator fan was just a "milestone".
Got hardware for caliper off but still stuck and can't pull off caliper. It just wiggles help is appreciated
Maybe pins are still locked on threads and you need to push them out using screw driver, or you need to press the brake pads to compress pistons a little bit. Use screw driver too
@@sushi_garage it was the brakes needing to be compressed thank you!
Keep up the good work, l have galant 2.5 myself and could use some insight for workin on this car. : D
Did yours have a woodruff key on the shaft or not? I never saw one on mine.
No, but I bought one and mounted. Just in case
Clear precise straight to business…..thank you sir
How much coolant did it take to refill the reservoir back up after being drained completely?
Where did you get the pads?
From authorised Audi dealer
If u need to put in stop radiator leak, do u out it in the resevoir tank as well?

Love this series!!! I have a Galant sport myself that i am referbishing👍 its in a little bit worse condition than yours😅 looking forward to new videos!
Great restoration video, very enjoyable! :)
Stupid fake 4 piston calipers
Yes, but brakes in this Audi works quite good in my opinion...
Masakra. Polski zakład a kanał yt udający zagraniczny.
Litości! Przecież jeśli autor zamierza dedykować swoje materiały publiczności międzynarodowej, to robi to dobrze - kanał wówczas prowadzi się w języku angielskim. Nie udaje kanału zagranicznego!

Hi there :) Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing my channel!
Good one
Thanks. That's great help. 👍
++++++++
Very helpful with all the small cleaning tips. Thank you for being so precise and detailed.
Great job, but you should always put teft tape on pipe fitting counterclockwise.
Thank you for the video. What is the labor time on this?
I think it's about 2 hours of work with no hurry. It's also depends on rust on bolts and nuts
@@sushi_garage thanks
Hello my friend. I have a question, what are the specs for the front brake disc on the SQ5. The diameter in mm and the size in mm, please.
380 56mm
Good job
Everything is perfect except using AutoFren repair kit. It's crap which won't last long. There's nothing better on the market these days than TRW repair kits
Thank you. Unfortunately I do not have any TRW repair kits in my stores nearby :(
@@sushi_garage There's always a possibility to order it online, in advance...
You did not show the process for releasing the electronic parking brake ?? Maybe I missed it but normally I need an OBD 11 or VAG software for this part.
No need to do this. It's front discs and pads replacement video :)
Of course Doh !! That will learn me for trying to be clever 🙂@@sushi_garage
Nie odkręciłeś odpowietrznika! Pamiętaj o tym przy cofaniu tłoczków - ewentualny bród wypłynie a nie dostanie się do pompy ABS-u.
Why aren’t you using a torque wrench to torque the bolts to the specified torque? Great video otherwise bro !!
Yea, I know I should tighten every bolt with a specific torque, but sometimes I can't find values in manuals. It's absolutely necessary to use torque wrench when you rebuild engines or other complicated things

$2,400 quote from the dealer for this. I almost drove off the road. 😂
where on earth do you get an imbus number 9?
If you can't buy imbus number 9, you can find and buy 3/8 inch. It's around 9,5 mm.
3/8 doesn't fit on mine.
Size 9 hex bit at O'Reilly's
Or buy a 10mm and make it yourself to a 9mm key 😉🙂
You da man, boutta tackle this myself today. Hope it goes well!
Not a big deal. Good luck:)
Should hit the hat of the rotor to dislodge it, not the rotor itself.
You sir... Is a Hero. Thank you. Do you have a video on how to change rear shock absorbers on Audi SQ5 2013?
Where are you located ???
"promo sm" 😎
Nice work!
that doesn't seem all that difficult. Great vid.
Thank you!
Really clear video - Thank You
Any other way to remove radiator fan with out having to break it all down can you remove the skid plate and reach up under it loosen screws and drop it down thru the bottom just wondering
To remove blower only you could try to unscrew this two bolts first, disconnect this two plugs and you will see if you have enough space to take it out. But personally I think it will be impossible. There is no enough space but you can always try before removing front bumper. Good luck.
Hope you like it :)
Hope it'll help :)
