Wow mate - I hope your bike is OK. You are very brave riding on those huge rocks.
oh i see now you are very experienced off road lol, i was so surprised you took on those rocks the way you did.. it takes a lot of guts and it will set you back a 1000 dollars when you break stuff😏
the bike is way too heavy for this...i think you did very well nevertheless. How you manage to keep it upright on the stones man..300 kg of gravity
Hell of a day!
Glorious footage. Love the sound of rocks banging
Banging H is what he does best!!🎉
Heavy off-road 😮😅😅
Excellent.. but that dry axle needs grease... subscribed
Is that a online version of service manual? Where to get it?
Thanks a lot for a very clear video😊. I have the same question as many other, what are the different torque for the different bolts?😊
HOW TO PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM
Did you have to remove any break fluid from the reservoir to push the piston back? Thanks.
Ha! That's me upside down at 4:17! Can't believe someone caught that on video! Thanks for the rescue!
Mike, great videos. im the opposite lol. im taller. do you know where you might get foo tpeg lowering kit. im a bit cramped. Thanks Craig
Great idea for any ADV bike!!!
Can you put GT Pro Wheels on the rally Pro? I like the color options of the rally Pro but I would be mostly almost always do Road only, thank you
I sure would like to find a video of the complete air filter replacement process ….I need to do mine
Phone holder is connected to a cross bar on the windshield slide
I just looked at mine. How does the mesh come out? Does it have a tab to push down to take it off or just grab it and pull out? I've broken many little tabs in my 68 years not doing things correctly
There is a tab on top of the mesh plastic piece. Get your finger on it push down...pull the top of it down and wiggle it out.
I had to get the dealership to come get mine with 400 miles on it. Clutch would slip big time. I have 7k miles on mine now and everything is good. I'm nervous though. I'm keeping my Tenere for a backup. It took 4 months to get clutch parts in Mississippi. My dealership is f==king terrible and will lie all day long..
Sorry to hear about your clutch. It's tricky to set up...I made a mess of mine trying to adjust it.
I have the same bike and have the same concerns with the cams. Yours don't look good at all. They're clearly scored. I'm not sure I would've taken the dealership's word on that. Those should be replaced under warranty, while you still have it. My bike won't see 20,000 miles before the warranty expires, but I'm going to pay to have the inspection done a month before my warranty is up. If mine look like yours and they tell me they're fine, they're going to have a fight on their hands.
I agree on the cams. I have a 6 year warranty. I do trust my dealer, their mechanics are sharp. I had them document the cams with those pictures its on them if it causes any damage since they did the work and the cams are documented.
Thanks for the video Mike! Im mentally preparing for the same service wanted to ask about the cost of it. My dealer gave me a quote for 1800 just for the cams inspection on top will be the yearly service cost.
The total cost was $2200
What was the total cost? Thanks.
I've seen costs vary greatly depending on the dealer and region of the country you live in. Put it this way...one dealer in MA was $1900- where as a dealer in NH was $ 1300- for the 20k service. I would do all the fluid changes prior to brining it in...including clutch and brake fluids. In doing this it would probably save me $400-500. I would let the dealer replace the air filter as they are already in there.
$2200
@@MikesGarage409 ...holy crap! The price of the valve services alone maybe enough for me to pass on this bike and get another goldwing. My wing has only been back to the dealer once in 40k. Never a valve adjustment nor will it need one.
How to get the mesh screen ? Did you make it yourself ?
Answer is in the video!
@@bmwgs1250-wn8wc I have put my hand in and indeed the mesh screen was there! lol. Thanks!
Agree. Pre-filters are the way to go 🍻
Non sembra una cattiva idea
You know what they say about little hands?
Nice work!! Thanks for coming and we'll see you in 2025!!!
only on the Explorer
I’m 11 months late, but only just watched this video. I think the service manual you were looking at was for the pre-2022 Tiger 1200; that one calls for replacing the final drive oil at break-in. According to my owner’s manual’s maintenance schedule chart, the 2022+ Tiger 1200 doesn’t need the final drive oil replaced at break-in, just every two years regardless of mileage; so you don’t need to worry about it till the bike is two years old. Still a great overview of how to do it though; thanks for that!
That was an interesting crash...looks like the rider slid out on that turn with a dip. What bike did you ride? I couldn't figure it out.

Non è una soluzione pratica. Non va bene.
Hi, congratulations for your videos. I would like to ask your opinion on two aspects of the Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. The brake fluid reservoir is positioned in such a way that it is difficult to fit a tank bag. Have you tried moving it? Do you have any advice on a bag that doesn't impact the handlebars? The exaust is very close to the passenger seat, can it be a nuisance in summer? Thanks a lot Guido (Italy)
To ile wynosi momen , siła dokręcenia wszystkich srób i nakrętek w przednim kole też. ?
What axle wrench did you use for the rear axle?
How is the phone holder fixed to the handle🤔...or???
Its fine, generally stable. Off-road it can bounce. By biggest problem with the phone is goring between apps with gloves on.
@@MikesGarage409 can you take a pic ,how you donne it😅☝️🤙 Thanx ahead
Impressive views. To bad that guy with the selfie stick is in most of them. What a weirdo.
Nice ride. Looks like it got a hairy for a minute.
Cool ride! why put telluride in the title?
Telluride was the destination, to much footage for one video
Great off-road and landscape !! Which part is Telluride?
Telluride is in video day 3 and 4
Fun Fact: it's pronounced climb.
Just ordered this tyres for my TR Tiger 900 RP. Used K60 Scout but they where less efective on mud. And that's a huge problem overhere in the woods after rain. Live on canary islands. I'll tell you my experience soon.
So peaceful 👍
It's not an allen key, it's a T6 Torx
I have problem, i cant buy app.. i paid on mail but license didint get activated
Mike, thanks for your videos. I have the same exact bike and they help me out a bunch. Have you done any other mods recently?
Hello Mike good Chanel i need to know your model off tool box on the luggage frame, thank’s
I used the Givi tool box. In the end I took it off because during off road riding the swingarm would hit the box.
FRONT Tire removal tools needed (from just doing this myself): * 6mm hex wrench (allen wrench) to loosen up pinch bolts (just loosen, don’t remove) * 17mm hex (male) to loosen and remove front axel bolt on right (“passenger”) side of front wheel * The spacers will stay in the wheel, but will be loose and could fall out, so keep those aside (where he talks about inspecting them) before moving the wheel to change the tire as they could fall out and get lost
REAR Tire removal tools needed from just doing this myself: * 1/2” Breaker bar for removal (don’t use torque wrench for removal, it could mess up the torque calibration) * 36mm 12 point socket for rear wheel axle (attached to breaker bar) * 8mm hex (male) for rear wheel to loosen lock screw, loosen only, don’t remove * Rubber Mallet to remove rear wheel axle * 17mm hex socket for lower swing arm bolt on rear wheel (this is tight, so I had to use the breaker bar. Also, the 24mm nut on the rear side of this bolt (closest to the spokes) may spin when trying to loosen the 17mm bolt, so to hold that rear 24mm nut steady you may need a 24mm wrench, or locking pliers) * T50 Torx wrench for Upper bolt on rear swing arm (the rear nut at the other end of this bolt closest to the wheel spokes is 14mm) * There is a spacer that will stay in the wheel because of the grease, but will be loose and could fall out, so keep that aside before moving the wheel to change the tire as it could fall out and get lost.
I know, major flaw. Not an issue in my garage, but for an adventure bike, I would have liked to keep tools necessary to remove rear wheel for going deep off of pavement, but this would add a ton of extra weight and bulk.
Thanks Mike I’m just about to change mine and the fronts as well
