(As you age, you will get 'bigger' - unfortunately) :P
Suprise people in your senior year when you are bench-pressing
the amount most people think only the 'big' guys can - and passing them.
* happened with me, true story, can happen to you!
Rule:
Be safe - join your schools weightlifting class so you can get (hopefully) expert advice. (wont lie, in GenX days, it was wild west with the quality of coaching we got... kinda figured it out ourselves, and got hurt as well)

If you are college age,
Should be good to go, advice is the same.
honestly, I started at 15 and 18 is when things took off.
Does that mean in a year you can too?
Try it out. :)

If you are middle age you are too busy doing whatever to care. :P

if you are 50s and above, you are either healthy or gave up...
dont... if you never did it - yes, it will be hard if not feel impossible.
Getting back in shape was a b**** for me...
... but easier than had i never done it.

    You almost the same age as my dad hes 51 years old he was born October 27 1972 he only uses glasses to read small stuff hes 6ft tall he was born in West Virginia hes white his skin looks brown that's because hes in the sun alot

    You should start thinking about using a multi grip bar or football bar to save your shoulders. Im 44 and have never had shoulder issues for that reason. Straight bar benching just isnt worth the risk of injury especially at 50+. If you get hurt youll never come back

      Thanks brother for the advice.😊 Almost every dude (40+) in the gym says they have issues with the bench due to shoulders. I was honestly surprised- never bothered me. (Starting lifting in high school, class for 4 years + went to competitions, etc) * I did HURT my shoulder on the decline benchpress. Took on 275lbs when my flat was a 250/255lb max (Was out for 2 years) You are correct that one little slip up can lead to an serious injury, and/or a long recovery at my age. (I appreciate you pointing that out- as people truly have to be in tune with what is good for them) I just love bench-pressing … Ever hear of Jen Thompson? She is 50 years, 63kg, 5’5 and benches way over 300lb. (She hold many records with IPF, etc. for RAW, PED free bench.) * my current inspiration for powerlifting Truth be told, I would love to compete again. Get down to 74kg, get my bench up a bit more. We will see, my coach/friend keeps me on track… …to ensure my safety. Doesn’t mean I won’t try a multibar (Gym doesn’t have one) I love trying bench variations! 😊 btw, Im out of it with squat and deadlifts due to a car accident (I used to run quite a bit to make up for it) Thanks for the comment!     Keeping the optimal egg count hidden I see. I'm surprised to hear you experienced immediate effects from the tricreatine malate. My understanding is that creatine is somehow utilized for energy inside the brain, but I wouldn't expect it to be psychoactive.

      Yeah, my little secret... for now. 😊 Seriously though, I didn't provide an exact number because individuals have different nutritional and health needs. I didn't want someone blindly following one recommendation without considering personal circumstances. As for the Creatine, I had already used the monohydrate version for about a month and then bought the malate version. The effects of the malate version were noticeable right away and, for me, it provided better pure raw energy compared to the other version. However, it only goes so far if you don't have enough rest... something I've missed out on for about 3 weeks now. Honestly, this whole thing is a journey for the individual. I mean, there are the basics to build off of in regards to the type of workout (bodybuilding vs powerlifting, etc.), as well as nutrition, but at the end of the day, we all react differently based on various factors. The most we can do is research, safely experiment, share results, and, most of all, have fun. Thanks for the comment, and good luck on your journey, brother.

    Been using Iso Barbell Bench press my self infrequently, managed to increase my 10rep max from 60kg to 80 in a month! I rest the barbel on safety bars so I’m in the bar on chest phase , load it up to 150kg and try to move it from there: an ‘overcoming’ Iso as oppose to your ‘yielding’ Iso. Defiantly going to try your version too now!

      Nothing like the feel of success when it comes to moving up with your bench goals - so Congrats on your accomplishment. If you do try the technique, let me know how it goes. Careful, though brother, as it’s an easy shoulder accident wanting to happen - mainly due to the angle of the body and the load being pushed up. Thanks for sharing your method, and again, congrats!
