18:30 At first, I thought that the water in the fontaine firmanent went up, and the rest of teyvat stayed normal, however when we met lynette she tells us that the water near romaritime harbor also went up, which means it's not only the firmament, which is confusing. I guess there is no reasonable explanation akgdksh, but I dont mind the inconsistency Also, I love the video so much, I always admire how the music team is trying to put different motifes in their tracks and it's so great we can come back to those, listen and also hear your thoughts and alaysis!!!

The real reason (from what I've heard anyways) Apep has Photon in his theme: the song was supposed to be a regular battle theme in the chasm but got recycled cos it was too badass to throw away The COOL reason Apep has Photon in his theme: Photon is Teyvat's theme and Apep, being one of its original sovereigns ofc has it. Tho it makes me wonder why Neuvillette doesn't have it

I think this leitmotif is related to open world combat, since it appears in one of all nations' battle themes and when showing the combat skills of a lot of characters in their demos

OMG I never realized the Narzissenkreuz leitmotif was also in the main Fontaine theme but it makes a lot of sense. It gives off the impression of one of those explanations at the beginning of a play that mentions the characters and the tragedy they fall to. 44:50 Honestly it's Sybilla's leitmotif rather than Scylla's, being the oracle referenced in "The Oracle's Finale" and the entity that the Symphony originates from. 50:41 As for Scylla looking like the Narwhal, basically he lost his original Vishap body and got encased in Ichor when Remuria sunk. Ichor is the substance Remus used to replace the blood inside the people he turned into golems, which is Primordial Seawater that he later modified, and had gotten from Egeria when she was still acting as the "heart" of the Primordial Sea. You'll notice it's everywhere in Remuria, even on chandeliers. So more of less, Scylla's current body is made of a Primordial Seawater-like substance. 1:07:09 This has been bothering me foreverrr, I was waiting to see if the furnishing blueprint for it would expand but unfortunately it didn't lol. At the very least, it's a clockwork meka-type thing therefore it should be powered by pneumousia. Personally it reminds me of the mechanisms at the abandoned laboratory under Mary-Ann Memorial Park, and also something like an armillary sphere. 1:09:49 Two these sharing a leitmotif probably has to do with the scenes they're featured in being related to reveals of the "truth", or focus on history. "Contemporary Testimony" is used in Liliane's confession in Act I, Childe/Whale scene, and Potton's confession in Sigewinne's Quest. Meanwhile, "Les murmures des flots"/The whispers of waves is used when Navia is honest about investigating the ruins as a distraction in Act V, Clorinde's GM intro to the game and later when Furina mentions the knive's history in Clorinde's SQ, and when The Witch talks about the "disease" in Sigewinne's SQ. Most instances are related to usage of Primordial Seawater or an area/time associated with its prevalence. The title of the 2nd track is also probably an allusion to the fact that dissolved people turn back into Oceanids and can in select instances communicate through the water i.e. the literal whispering of the waves. So perhaps the intended theme is "the truth is hiding just beneath the surface"?

It's a foundational piece for Italy's litterature. - "La Comédie humaine" (The Human Comedy) by 19th century french author Honoré de Balzac, a huge saga (90 works!) presenting a very intricate and realistic view of society (especially it's more mundane and ugly aspects), which was fairly new at its time. (Funnily enough, the title is a nod to the Divine Comedy) Since it plays during the discovery of the "real" Foçalors, it can be interpreted as the duality of Furina (the human) and Foçalors (the divine), making them an entity that isn't really one or the other, "neither human nor divine"...

I feel like Sumeru is the most important region of Teyvat since it’s in the middle of it and also the closest to Khaenriah. Not only that, it’s real life counterpart is South Asia and Middle East, where the biggest religions around the world nowadays originated from, and we know well that Genshin is all about gods. Because of this, using a lot of Photon of Fluctuation in Sumeru music means this is an ancient place, with a lot of history and a lot of potential in the future

At the end of genshin, maybe there will be a sad version of this

The Irony that I initially didn't care much for Fontaine (back in 3.8) and in 4.0 I already considered it my fav nation, and at the same time in 4.0 I didn't like Furina and then 4.2 made her my fav character (story wise). Fontaine's music really knows how to express feelings, from joy and happiness, to melancholy and mystery. Peak fiction We all are waiting for whatever Natlan is cooking. Side note: Bro, the fact that Fontaine was a year ago 💀I didn't felt any of the other nations ended this quick
