Amtrak and CSX In Winter Haven FL
Once again I'm out in Winter Haven Amtrak was mostly a GE show this outing but with the p42's on the chopping block it's nice to see them. CSX made an appearance with a local job picking up interchange cars with a KCS foreign power trailing. Thanks For Watching Please Share.

Recently I got some shots from the Florida Railroad Museum of the 2:00 train arriving in Parrish and heading out on its deadhead back to Willow. The Florida Railroad Museum has just put out tickets for the fall and winter events. Including but not limited to Hole in The Head Gang Train Robbery, Civil War Reenactment, Pumpkin Patch Express, Von Kessinger's Express WW2 Reenactment,North Pole Expr...

Once again Lake Placid held the Caladium Festival and US Sugar brought out the Sugar Express,to give train rides during the weekend. The Sugar Express has grown again with another coach and the parlor Biscayne bay. So let's take a ride behind and chase USSC 148 & 312. it's a real tough case down state route 8 so some shots aren't perfect. Thanks For Watching Please Share.

Back out once again in Kissimmee FL for some Sunrail and Amtrak action with some CSX to open it all up. It's looking like Amtrak is doing some rearranging with both southbound Amtrak trains having extra cars, with 91 haveing a northeast regional cafe behind the engines and 92 with an extra sleeper and diner. Great catches awesome chase fantastic ride and nice video tim
Thanks
Imi place la americani caci iubesc trenurile si se ocupa de calea ferata si respecta cea ce a fost locomotiva cu abur Respect from Romania god bles you Amin
I will never understand why they insist on not using the runaround track that’s at Parrish. Move the loading ramp back about 6 feet, do some track work and boom, you don’t have to push the train 6 miles anymore
It was nice to meet you on the 2pm train today Timothy
Love the video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤ I hope I can meet you some time
It’s fun
Great video I love it!! The Silver Star is the best train ever!! From North to South
Hey Tim, so happy to find your video! Looking at buying a home in Harmony at Lake Eloise in Winter Haven and the tracks are right near it. Since you’re the guy in the know, can we connect and you tell me more about what trains and how often they run?
Fun fact: the water car used to belong to A&WP 290 before US Sugar bought it for 148
Plus 4501, 750, 630,722, 610 and 2839
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 They do not make them like this anymore Steam trains are THE BEST
Really like how you edited it to make it to make it all feel like one trip. And I think it should go without saying that "Bay Biscayne" is my new favorite member of the Sugar Express consist. That right there is riding in style.
always good seeing you Tim thanks for riding with us!
Enjoyed the video Tim, great editing!
Nice Video
Hey Tim. I finally got around to editing my video from the Florida Railroad Museum, should come out either today or tomorrow.
@@AlongCameDalton awesome
I can vouch it’s a very great museum. Always was, as young as I can remember. My dad was a member for decades and he helped work on the President Washington in the ‘80s. Unfortunately their plans for a repeat of the Fair of the Iron Horse were destroyed along with the roundhouse from the 2003 snowstorm. I so wanted to have that festival!
Great to see Thomas in Florida!
Look at all those toys 🧸. Nice catch.
I have never ridden the train before and would really like to. Maybe the first time I ride a train it’ll be one that you’re working on. Way to go with following your dreams Tim.
6:08 NS in the background i think
@TimThatTrainGuy How many MPC era freight cars do you think the U36B could pull comfortably? It DID come in a starter set with 14 pieces of rolling stock, after all. (I don't suppose you have enough postwar era rolling stock to know how much of that it can pull comfortably too, do you?)
I did some testing with a mix of cars from different areas and it was able to move 14 somewhat easily. But my U36b could use new traction tires so with new tires It may pull better
@@TimThatTrainGuy How hard is it to get new traction tires for Lionel engines? I have a Hornby OO steam engine with traction tires that crumbled away, and I'm considering buying a replacement axle instead of new tires as the extras in the bag would crumble away by the time the one set I used did.
@@Charmaster04 for Lionel Diesel's it's pretty easy as almost every o gauge diesel has the same size wheels. But for the hornby steam Locomotive you would have to try and order that through hornby or I would try a product called bullfrog snot which is a liquid rubber traction tire
@@TimThatTrainGuy In the case of the Hornby model, the original rear axle has a trench in it for the tire so it won't stay on the rails with a chunk of the traction tire missing (which was how I found out what the black flakey things along my loop of track were, since the engine started wobbling about and derailing), and I have looked up the product code of both the tire and the new axle with the solid wheels. If this bullfrog snot can be put on any wheel (provided it's not critical that said wheel conduct electricity) without a groove, I would unhesitatingly buy the solid wheel'd axle over the traction tires and use weights and/or the bullfrog snot if I wasn't satisfied with the reduced pulling power. If it can be used to fill the groove, I'll be saved the expense of possibly paying $20 or more for a new axle (Or if the savings aren't significant, I would at least have something I could use across multiple engines as needed). Speaking of o gauge diesels sharing the same size of traction tire, this engine (A Great Western Railway County of Devon) shares the same tire size and wheel design with all of Hornby's budget end ("Railroad") 4-4-0's, so it's a similar situation.
If you like to talk, you can meet some interesting people on your trip!!!
The windows are different on the doors
Andrea Biesecker is driving.
As nice as the Chargers look, I still prefer the Genesis units, if for nothing more than nostalgia purposes.
At least you're not as shaky as I was the one time I filmed USSC 148. Just had my phone and nothing else; very amateurish.
Enjoy your videos so much live in Winter Haven Florida I met you before
Glad you like them!
You’re doing so great
Great catch! Geeps and SW's, good stuff!
It's a shame that 94 got sold off. No clue where it went or if it still exists
Yessir, they are slowly disappearing, and it saddens me to see it happening. They will always have a special place in my heart and memory.
Very nice catch!
Glad you liked it!
My family and I are going this weekend, I'm excited. Thanks for the video.
N&W #611 is my favorite steam locomotive
I remember when this locomotive ran at Six Flags America
That little switcher used to work hard between Chester and kershaw South Carolina.
Good video!
Won't lie, this is the first time I heard about GP11 No. 311 being sold. When next I go to Clewiston I might ask someone about it. The U.S. Sugar fleet feels a bit like family to me, I won't lie, so I'm sad to see her go, but wishing her the best of luck in a new home. I wonder if one of the new SD units will be taking 311's place on SCFE.
For anyone reading that’s taken this from north like ny Philly to fl have you experienced any major delays or has it been on time?
Have taken the silver meteor so many times between PA and SC and other times down to FL, it’s one of my favs and now even the full diner service is back!
I always take the train 90 from Deland to Trenton, my old home town. I always go coach and bum rides from family up in Trenton.
THAT TROPICANA DRUMROLL WAS AWESOME!
