@rome0dome yes. That's why. The original carberutor on those don't have a barrel at the end of the throttle cable. It's simply just cable that is pinched to the valve I bet. You need to get the correct type of throttle cable to use with a slide style carberutor

@danielanderson8001 this bike, taxes, title, parts, taxes on parts and everything else that goes with it, is still less than $1900 brand new. Up to you really. If you're not mechanicly inclined or haven't a clue... dont do it

@Dena_Productions what i did is actually just crimped it flat with a vice grip and left as is. I mentioned it on the video. Lmk if you need help on anything else

@M2v3n23GC Short answer: Yes Long answer: I've taken it to the freeway before for about 7mins drafting a semi. Not the funnest or safest thing to do. It picks up a little more speed (barely) while drafting... but there is poor balance and you get pushed around by the wind to the point where your just risking it.

@evanpor9022 if you have a master link chain you can go back and cut 2 off and reinstall and go from there. If you leave it with that much room for tension you can still get 10-15k miles on that chain till you max out the tension. You should be good for now. Leave it for now come back to it later and see what you can do when the time comes. 20k is usually the chain life anyway for maintenance

@@jajajaja4590 on the old shifter? (It's a linkage made of plastic). On the new shifter. It's just a foot lever connecter directly to the shift shaft on the motor

@rramales1 I been doing things like this for a few years so I'm used to it. Just a skill you gain in time. It is not too hard to install. Wish I would have made a how-to video though
