Thanks for showing this. This is actually very old technology believe it or not. There was an inflatable airplane built on this construction method. The plane fit in the back of a station wagon. To my knowledge it never made it past the construction of a few prototypes though. But it did fly well for being an inflatable plane. And yes.... It could take off on water.
