I don't understand why Tyrion who had been bitch slapping, insulting and humiliating Joffrey even after he became king, went for all that sh*t. He would be much better off if he simply refused to submit to his own humiliation. Even if that made Joffrey angry, his father would intervene on his behalf like he had done before. He would have to.

Tywin was rarely a fool in the series, but this scene was one of them. Joffrey, as miserable as he is, was right. Dany was a huge threat to the realm, more so than the politics that were going on in KL at that time.

Looking back at this scene after watching the whole show is actually funny. As much as a spoiled little brat Joffrey was, his concerns were correct here. According to Tywin all the experts said there's nothing to worry about, Joffrey worries about it and in the end they are the reason why the Lannisters ultimately lost the throne. As badass as this scene is, this was probably the only time they should've listened to Joffrey.

I love Oscar Tully, he's just perfect. Young but wise, his speach is always poetical even tho he answeres immediately, knows the depth of what others say but he's realistic in his considerations. I wish to see more of him in season 3. Truly this peak is similar to GOT s7, I hope they dnt ruin Hotd s3 like they did for s8

2:14 that line has always got me Cause in season one Viserys explains to doreah when he was a boy he remembered that the throne room was lined with the skulls of the dragons and that the closer you got to the Iron Throne the bigger they got. Yet Tywin says here that the dragon skull close to the throne was the " size of an apple " Now real world me always just figure it was a continuity error. But in universe I always wondered who was telling the truth about the dragon skulls Viserys was only a boy, while Tywin was a younger man. But they both spent time in the Red Keep and both saw the throne room with the skulls Idk just a scene that can be seen so many ways.
