Is this DVD “Vladimir Malakhov, making of La Bayadere” now available to buy ? I’d love to see more of her dancing.

It is indeed Johann Strauss II - Ein Herz, ein Sinn - Polka-mazurka, op. 323. And yes it is from 2005 and it is the Coburg Palace in Vienna. However Malakhov left Vienna State Ballet in 2002 and Semionova graduated in Moscow and was recruited by him when he became Director of Berlin Opera, later to become Berlin State Ballet. She is only listed for guest appearance with Vienna State Ballet, so I assume they were both guesting. Isn't it just great though.

This is without any doubt the most beautiful version of La Bayadere. It does not end with the kingdom of the shades. The last act is breathtaking and the final scene with heavenly music gives this ballet the grand finale it deserves. I wish there were a DVD of it!

Der Textpatzer bei ca. 2:05 macht Marlon umso sympathischer, finde ich. Ich finde es schade, dass er nicht mehr öffentlicher Musiker ist. Er hat eine sehr besondere Stimme und schreibt super deutsche Texte. Ein Herz für Marlon. ;)

I also have trouble relating this to Shakespeare's "Hamlet", but it sure is sexier than your average ballet. Either these two dancers have personal chemistry or they are consummate actors!
