    I know this may be a dumb question, but how do you mount a GPS module? Do i just use double sided servo tape and a zip tie? is there a special module this is made for? Thanks!

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv 16 годин тому

      Hi Lawrence, it's not a dumb question at all. Most frames include a TPU mount but this one has those carbon plates. Just as you said, the best way will be with double-sided tape and a zip tie. This design has the advantage of being able to accommodate just about any brand/shape/size GPS unit because standard TPU mounts are usually made for a septic model or size GPS unit. So grab any GPS unit you want! I recommend the GEPRCM10, but any M10 GPS unit will work great, and will come with a wiring diagram showing you how to wire it up to your FC. Good luck with it!

      That's what I was thinking, for my style of flying 6" is a perfect match since I mostly do medium-range mountain cruising with a GoPro to get scenery shots. A 5" I store maneuverable but the 6" is more efficient.

    You should put it in on that lumineer frame. I purchase this exact flight stack (AM32) after watching Jev. I built my 5’in two weeks ago and it feels/flys amazing. Put mine in the Era 5 I haven’t tried 8S but 6s is more than enough for my use case. Nice video on the stack. It’s a solid FC and ESC if you ask me.

    • @colibrifpv

      That's great to know, thanks a lot for your feedback! I do think this stack would have paired very nicely with that JohnnyFPV frame, but since that one is already built up with an Argus Pro stack I'm thinking about putting this one in my Flyfish Volador D6 frame for a cinematic medium range cruiser that will run heavy batteries and a GoPro. This is an awesome stack that has way more power than I would ever need. Time will tell how durable it is!

      @colibrifpv 4 дні тому

      Hi Jack, I'm using 5x4x3 props and when I fly in the mountains sometimes I use HQ 5x4.8x3. I like higher pitch props because I fly at altitude, I live in the Andes at fly at 10,000-12,000 ft, and I'm usually just cruising trying to get scenery shots where I want a high cruise speed to go the distance and I don't care as much about maneuverability. Lower pitch props are probably better for ripping around aggressively, freestyle, etc. I recommend HQ props if you're not sure, they have been super durable for me...

      Hey thanks a lot for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I haven't flown the Pavo 20 Pocket but I do have a review of the Pavo 20 Pro that I am working on right now. If you are a new pilot, the Pavo 20 pocket would be a great choice because it has some stabilization and assist modes. It's basically this drone (Pavo20) but easier to fly with different batteries if that makes sense...

    It’s a pretty nice Build, but i prefer my deadcat geprc Mark 5 over this one. You mentioned the problem with spare parts from geprc, and my solution to the problem is, that I ordered some replacement arms back then, when I bought the Mark5. This works well for me and so far I didn’t manage to break an arm, so it’s pretty much unbreakable in my experience. BTW the location where you tested the quad is beautiful.

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv 9 днів тому

      Thanks a lot for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I live in Ecuador and I fly high up in the Andes whenever I get the chance. I agree that the GEPRC Mark5 is a very solid choice, and the frame kit is hard to beat since even the "pro" version comes in quite a bit cheaper (~$30) and it has that nice camera mounting system as well as a very generous hardware bag... I had a pile of screws and misc. hardware leftover after building mine. Next time I'll do what you did and just order up some replacement arms when I buy the frame!

      Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it! I do really like this frame, the rear camera mount is pretty unique and the rear assembly is awesome with those 5 different mounting plates, but it can complicate your build because it's hard to get that battery lead juuuuuust right 😁 The motors on this build are awesome, the 2307's rip! I have a Mario5 frame in my office I'm going to build up as soon as I have time. Good luck with that 10", your brave!

    No link to the GPS? You listed the components, not the build kit...?

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv 9 днів тому

      Hey thanks for bringing that to my attention! I have added links to two GPS options that will work great on this drone. Choose the tiny GPS if you want to use the rear camera mount, and go for the larger M10 GPS if you don't plan to use that rear camera mount. As for the official build kit or bundle, Lumenier is going to release that momentarily but for the moment it's out of my hands. If you have any questions or want some recommendations please let me know and I will do my best to point you in the right direction. Good luck with your build!

    Hello, great review, you covered the one answer I had about this whoop, and the tbs to Elrs modular…thanks for that info as I have a tbs tango 2….I noticed how smooth it flew in your video compared to all others, no jittery,jerky flying…did you change any pids, or expo to Achebe the smooth flight with this quad? Thanks for the review…

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv 12 днів тому

      Hi Gary, thanks a lot for that feedback, really appreciate it! No, I didn't change any PIDS or add Expo, I flew it exactly as BetaFPV ships this quad. I think their tune is pretty soft and forgiving, which suits my flying style because I use this as a fun flier around the house or at the park with my kids, I don't need it to be aggressive. How do you find the stock tune on yours?

    Would you know if I can mount the DBR4 XrossBand for the nomad on top or anywhere on this frame with along side the DJi air unit

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv 12 днів тому

      Hey there, yes you can definitely find space for that receiver on this frame. I would probably mount it up front, there is loads of space behind the FPV camera. You might also be able to mount it on top of the stack, with a 30mm to 20mm adapter, depending on how high your stack is, but it would be tight. The rear, over the DJI O3, would be tough because it would get cooked, and the frame includes a DJI O3 mount which raises it up. The front is your best bet, but yes, it can be done 👍

    The Integra's are a downgrade of the goggle 2. The reason the Integra's don't cover as wider angles is because it's much harder to produce a wide angle lens out of plastic unlike the goggles 2 with multi coated glass optics. Give me the goggles 2 anyday

      Tienes que rebajar el peso en los posible y ver el PID tune para ver si puede ser más eficiente.

      Pero si es un problema con estos cinewhoops, y es la razón pq los nuevos vienes con motores más grandes, sobre todo más anchas, para poder manejar mejor el peso y el calor.

      @colibrifpv 15 днів тому

      Hey thanks a lot for watching! I run both 650-850mah 4s packs on my Pavo25 but with an external action camera ai would definitely go 850mah to get a little bit more flight time. Just make sure your motors aren't too hot when you land with those 850 batteries. If they are, use the 650's, if they aren't you're good!
