Follow the money. No one make $$$ selling a low carb diet. Lots of $$$ to be made with highly processed food. The more processes required - the more opportunity to make $$$$. They call that "value added." Value for whom?

Dr Malhotra, you contradict yourself when you first say here that there is a place for statins for who suffered a heart attack, then you say it doesn't really help, on the contrary. This probably because your interviewer almost forced you to say there is a place for statins. He clearly wants you to say what he wants, and insists, repeating the same questions.

Extraneuous comments on the English: it irks me the way everybody says REZAWSES these days instead of "resources" and the number of people who seem to be unaware that the word "likely" is an adjective and not an adverbis is rising faster than levels of obesity!. "It is likely to cause" or "It probably causes" NOT "It likely causes".That just my being narky. In fact this podcast was informative, thank you. Congratulations on winning your case!

What a nonsense. I have weighted the same most of my life. A normal weight for my size and slim muscular and athletic body. Listening to my hunger and eating proportional as a vegan. I eat carbs of my whole food plant based diet and never have been sick in 9 years. Eating animal products is unhealthy, unethical, abusive, destructive and delusional, thinking it is healthy and healing. Plant is mother nature’s gift to us, giving us their fruits and wanting us to spread their seeds. No matter what this clown, working for the multi billion dollar meat industry is trying to manipulate you into buying their unhealthy products.people who are weak enough to fall for their propaganda will end up with a stroke, heart disease or cancer. I have already seen many of my friends, sick and dying, laughing at me and my vegan diet. We will see who have the last laugh.

Over 2 years ago, my hubby & I began to learn about & practice intermittent fasting (IF) + eating a low carb, high animal protein, high healthy (animal) fat diet. Thank God we learned about that. We both lost weight & our labwork became much healthier. To date ... my hubby has lost > 40 lbs & I've lost 30. Still, the many decades of his unhealthy diet of seed oils, margerine, flour, & deep fried foods had already done much endothelial damage to two of my hubby's coronary arteries, as well as a high level of stress. So, he ended up with 2 cardiac stents in Oct & a Dx of Pericarditis. I hope the stents were truly necessary. My hubby & I know the truth about statins. I'm a retired nurse & have done tons of research on statins. He will NEVER take any statin. I'm now reading The Clot Thickens by Dr Kendrick & learning a lot. I'm so disappointed in what most of "medicine" in north America has become & I no longer trust most western doctors. I'm SO thankful for podcasts like these!

I wouldn’t recommend OMAD every day. Mix things up. Keep your body guessing. I agree permanent OMAD might not be sufficient protein. The correct amount varies by individual but broadly aim for 1.5g per kg ideal body weight and you’ll likely be in the right area

I did a 72 hour fast last week. All I had for 72 hours was water and electrolytes. It was amazing how I really didn’t get hungry during that whole time… Until I went to cook my ribeye steak to break my fast. Then as it was cooking, my stomach started growling. So I definitely notice I don’t think about what I’m gonna eat next and I sure don’t eat as often as I used to.

When I stopped working out keeping the same eating habits, I Balloned up to 306 lbs. I have since gone OMAD eating only carnivore and am down to 215 lbs. I can out work everyone in my plant, energy levels through the roof, and don't get tired or sore. Don't need breaks, almost as if now I'm a machine. @@deepstroke2254 That's because you were eating different foods than now. I can tell you straight-up that I was carnivore for 4 years and 6 to 7 months ago I added honey to my diet (slowly as to allow my body to readjust, just as we all have to do when switching to carnivore), immediately I noticed a huge improvement in energy, strength in workouts and sleep. I went from eating 30 grams of honey a day to now around 200 grams. Fasting morning glucose went from 93 on Carnivore to 76 on Carnivore with raw honey. You're equating your improvements to Ketosis, but it's actually because you cutout the garbage you were previously eating...not all carbs are the same.

Hi, my doctor prescribes statins rosuvastatin (Crestor) for cholesterol control. After a year I developed what could be similar to Alzheimer's symptoms. I had difficulty remembering things ( 15 minutes of memory ).I had been tested with the Montreal test and they said that I could have the beginning of Alzheimer's. After that I went to the internet google and UA-cam and from there some UA-cam doctors told in a video that statins were affecting cholesterol and that the brain made up with a lot of it. Guest what, I stopped taking those statins and 2 weeks after I didn't have any symptoms. A real miracle, I could have continue taking that medicine and have bad symptoms for the reste of my life. UA-cam had made me realize what could have been the source of my problem. No thanks to my doctor and his staff. . LESSON : STATINE ARE NOT WITHOUT RISK!

Indeed. We’re not saying that no one should ever take a statin. More so that they should be used judiciously and appropriately not handed out like sweets. Of course not all statins cross the blood brain barrier. It’s very much horses for courses.

Exactly, it's a wonderful feeling, not only in the mind, but the body as well. Thank you Dr. Ede.

As said by Dr Malholtra The Department of Health and the UPF are hand in hand with each other! Money before health of the nation… An unholy alliance between Big Pharma-Medicine and UPF! are sadly self perpetuating chronic diseases

I wish I could convince my hubby and siblings the importance of the carnivore diet. They only see it as an expensive diet. My body literally goes through painful cramps when I don't get enough protein, especially red meat.

Do you get leg cramps at night? I have been getting leg cramps at night often since last summer. It seems to come when I eat too much salt and I get thirsty too. I am only 32 years old and female.

@@underated17possibly you are just dehydrated. I have electrolyte capsules everyday. I work in heat heat and drink minimum 5lts water every day. Up to 8lts or so when it’s like an oven outside. And this is to prevent cramps. I just have water…and have the capsules at same time. Your body gets rid of salt easily but it can increase the need for water. Balance is important
